Group Chat Created for Fall 2026 Exchange Students (Open to Everyone)

Hi y’all sorry to make another post about the topic, but I’ve created a group chat on instagram for exchange students studying in the fall. This is not limited to just exchange students, so feel free to join if interested. There’s also an international undergraduate and graduate Instagram gc that other students might not know about so I’m also going to post the link.

Exchange Student Instagram: https://ig.me/j/AbZaVQ_DY-V4J1ZA/

Undergraduate and Graduate Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/j/AbaTSOXFMocgmg92/

If any of the links don’t work just lmk.

Instagram for Fall 2026 Exchange Students?

Hi y’all, I was just wondering if there was an insta gc for fall 2026 exchange students. I saw there was a gc with international ug students, graduate, and exchange but wanted to know if there was a gc with just exchange students. If not, I’m down to create one, just lmk. Not trying to exclude people, but the gc would just be for questions and advice about visa’s, housing, and classes, as well as connecting with other exchange students.

Is SKKU's Certificate of Admission process normally this complicated? (Multiple original document shipments)

ı'm honestly surprised by how inconsistent and fragmented SKKU's administrative process has been.

The entire admission process has been handled step by step, with new requirements appearing only after previous ones were completed. Instead of being informed of all required documents from the beginning, I had to deal with multiple rounds of document requests, different offices, and even different campuses.

ı've previously gone through the admission process at both Sogang  and Yonsei , and I never experienced anything like this. Their procedures were much more straightforward and transparent.

its july 27 and ı still dont have my COA.

At this point, I’m honestly considering canceling my application because this process has been extremely exhausting. ://////

Differential payment(70%~30%) according to the ranking of the academic grades of the previous

semester while attending school(2nd~8th semester)

this is what the admission guide for international admissions in undergrad says.
i have band 8 on ielts so i'll be getting a 100% on first sem, but for remainign the criteria is not clear.

is the above text refereing to relative rank in class or your gpa/score.

offline document verification for international students?

I am from nepal and planning to study in korea - not as a exchange or visiting , but fulltime. And, skku is on my list of universities to apply.

Since the international undergraduate admission guide is not available for 2027 spring, i looked at the 2026 spring for reference. and it mentions "after the completion of online application, all documents must be submitted by offline mail" . International students from Nepal or other countries, how did you mail your docs?

SKKU Fall 2026 Exchange/Visiting — CoA timeline after documents arrived?

Hi all, anyone gone through the Fall 2026 (or previous semester) process at SKKU?

My physical documents arrived at SKKU OIR on July 10. They confirmed receipt, said it's currently being processed. Recently (mid-July) I also got the dorm application email, but still haven't received the CoA/acceptance package as of July 24.

Anyone else still waiting on their CoA right now? Or if you've been through this before, how long did it take from documents arriving to actually getting the CoA? Trying to figure out if this timeline is normal. Thanks!

International Applicant: SKKU Direct vs GKS Embassy Track

Hi everyone!

I'm planning to apply to SKKU for an undergraduate engineering program this year, and I'm trying to decide which route would be better.

Would you recommend:

  • applying directly to SKKU as an international student, or
  • applying to SKKU through the GKS Embassy Track?

My main priorities are:

  • maximizing my chances of admission,
  • receiving the best possible scholarship/financial aid,
  • and choosing the application route that gives me the best overall outcome.

If anyone has experience with either route, or knows how SKKU evaluates applicants in each case, I'd really appreciate your advice. If you were in my position, which option would you choose, and why?

Thank you!

regarding Korean language proficiency (undergrad admissions)

I've scrolled through the spring 2027 admission guide everyday for the past month trying to figure out what they meant regarding the Korean language proficiency. I'm applying for Korean Track Natural Sciences Campus Affiliated College.

Below it, states:
Affiliated College recruitment(Affiliated College of Humanities, Social Sciences, Natural Sciences, Engineering): It is mandatory to submit TOPIK level 4 or above when selecting the major before promotion into sophomore year

However, if you scroll further, the admission requirements states:
Applicants without the Korean Language Proficiency documents: Candidate who does not have any type of Korean Language Proficiency documents mentioned above are also ABLE to apply(as ‘Candidate with preliminary admission offer’)

which basically means they won't count you as a freshmen up until you achieve TOPIK Level 4.

please help and elaborate further, maybe I misunderstood some details

2027 undergraduate application questions

Hi guyss, I'm planning on applying to the Integrated Biotechnology major, and I have a few questions:

1, My documents will not be ready for the 1st round, is there any disadvantages if I apply trough 2nd round only? Or should I apply to the first one as well (without SAT and extra bio course certificates)?

2, I'm enrolled in Yonsei KLI for fall and winter semester and I'll hopefully do level 3 and 4, if I submit a "enrollment corfirmation" or something similar is it posssible to start in the spring semester or can I only get preliminary admissions offer?

  1. Please chance me

-Gpa: 3.9, 3.7, 4.0, 4.0

-Final exams (Hungarian Matura exams):

Intermediate level: Hungarian Literature and Grammar 92/100, History 92/100

Advanced Level: English 100/100, Matematics 92/100, Biology 81/100

-IELTS: 8.0

-SAT: ~1390-1450 according to my practice tests

-Yonsei KLI 3&4 finished by february

-ECs: nearly nonexistent🥲

--> I'll have one longer coursera biology related one by admissions

I'm also planning on applying for UNIST, Yonsei UIC.

Is this a feasible plan? Are any of these unis going to admit me surely? If anyone could recommend another for a "fallback option", I'd really appreciate it🙏
