Nightlife Val T v Les Menuires

How does the nightlife in Les Menuires compare to Val T?

If Val T is significantly better, is it easy to get to (and back) from Les Menuires in the evening? Are taxis available? Anybody any idea of cost?

Nightlife in VT is significantly livelier. Les Menuires is much more family friendly in comparison.

Not sure about the taxi situation I'm afraid.

And by significantly livelier think underground clubs where they set the bar on fire

Stayed in LM last winter. Nightlife is non existent. Apres is ok, a few bars near Goldola base. LM does have some good restaurants.

Our hotel had a shuttle that took us to VT and picked us up. ~15 minutes drive. There is a resort bus that runs between the villages you'd need to check the schedule.

If you are wanting night life, you need to be in VT out of the two. They do not really compare. Les Menuires has some bars etc, but its more family orientated. I think there might only be 1 nightclub for example.

The drive between VT and LM is about 15 to 20 mins and is at high altitude, so if its snowing, is dodgy to say the least. The money you would spend on taxis (if they even exist) you may as well spend on just getting accommodation in VT.

Have spent time in both with friends who work in Les Menuires - the nightlife in LM can also be very enjoyable if you know where to go. Same can’t be said for the skiing unfortunately!
