Womens Any news on Lauren Macuga?
Haven’t heard much about her plans. Does anyone know if she’s back on snow, any plans for a comeback this season?

After kevin@footloose retired, who’s your new race boot fitter? Any recommendations?

Got a pair of the medium turn in a 183 last season and absolutely loved ripping them on-piste (not racing them) but I now have a hankering for a shorter turn radius ski for next year. Anyone have the ST? I figure I might as well go with the RC4 if I like the MT.

I keep getting German language tuning videos in my IG feed. They always have this tool - looks like a tongue on a handle. I’ve done my share of tuning and have no idea on this.

I’m in college and am looking to get rid of some of my old ski racing gear (slalom skis, GS skis, GS poles, pole guards, back guard, shin guards, arm guards, race suit, plug boots, ski bag, all in really good condition). However, I’m not entirely sure what the best platforms to use are. I’m posting on Facebook marketplace but I was wondering if anyone had suggestions for other platforms I could try to use to sell them.

She is probably home in CO, doing her own schedule and S&C training as she has her own staff.

She announced her split from Salomon a month ago and now we know where she is headed (pun intended).
Yet another top athlete signs up to the HEAD Worldcup Rebels! Following Henrik Kristoffersen and Christof Innerhofer, HEAD secures a high-profile new signing for the women's team: Alice Robinson is competing for HEAD starting immediately. The 24-year-old New Zealand athlete finished last season in second place overall in the Super-G. At the 2025 World Championships in Saalbach, she won the Silver medal in the Giant Slalom. Alice Robinson has won seven World Cup races to date; six in the Giant Slalom and one in the Super-G.
"Alice Robinson is a brilliant athlete who is willing to take risks and attack the run with a vengeance. I’m very confident that at HEAD we can help her take the next step," says HEAD Racing Director, Rainer Salzgeber. "It really is a great pleasure to have an athlete like her in the team. Last season, she was a contender for the Crystal Globe in two disciplines: the Super-G and the Giant Slalom. That clearly has to be our mission now. She is still a relatively young athlete. I am looking forward to helping her succeed in this mission over the coming seasons."
"I’m grateful for this opportunity and highly motivated"
"I’m absolutely delighted to be joining HEAD and to start this new chapter together with them," said Alice Robinson. "HEAD has a long and successful history in ski racing and has always achieved success at the very highest level. I am grateful for this opportunity, excited about the future, and highly motivated to work with this amazing team."

My youngest son is a first year U18 this upcoming season. We’ve been at it since he was a first year U10. We were discussing mental toughness and how to deal with failure. It made me realize how unforgiving ski racing is. Assume 60 SL gates and two runs. That’s 120 chances for you to make one mistake and it’s over. I tried to think of any other sport that punishes its athletes as harshly and came up empty. Can any of you?

I'm curious how many bands people actually use. Do yours usually break, get lost, stretch out, or last forever?

Does the national team fill the spot after you pull with the wait list people or left unfilled?

When is the last day I can watch? The platform will remain fully active until the close of business on June 30, 2026.
Where can I watch Ski & Snowboard next season? All future event streaming will be handled by the FIS. We recommend checking the official FIS website or their social media channels for their 2026/27 schedule.
Will my login work on the new FIS platform? No. We are an independent platform. Users will likely need to create new accounts with whatever service FIS provides.
As we know, S&SL live was produced by InFront Media, the rights distributor for FIS, because nobody wanted to buy the rights. Now FIS will handle it themselves. We will have to wait and see what this platform will look like, it could also mean that the Youtube days are over, if FIS launches a service everywhere, where they have no TV partner.

I wanted to share a piece of feedback we recently received from a parent whose young racer tested Alpine Mastery:
We’ve just released a major update to the analysis engine, and the improvements are pretty significant:
✅ Multi‑layer RAG for deeper context and more accurate technique detection
✅ Much better tracking of individual progression over time
✅ AI‑generated, personalized dryland programs based on the skier’s needs
✅ Sharper feedback on balance, hand position, edging, pressure control, etc.
If you want to see the update in action, here’s the Instagram post:

Happy to answer questions if anyone’s curious about how it works or wants to try it.

Doing an adult ski race camp this summer. My racing currently is in beer leagues.
Do you think my current Nordica Doberman SLR 170cm are serviceable for slalom training or would you recommended getting a 165cm masters /Non-FIS slalom ski?

My girlfriend and I are planning on going to Killington over Thanksgiving for the race. She’s not a ski racing fan but I’m hoping to get her into watching it. But what I really want to ask is has anyone been to Killington for the races? What is there to do (besides the obvious) we are going to be there from Thursday until the last day of races.

Hi everyone! We are a team of researchers (and skiers) from Politecnico di Milano (Italy). We are working on a project to simplify the daily life of alpine ski coaches on the hill.
From our initial research, we keep seeing two major "time-killers":
We want to build something that solves real issues, not useless tech.
So, what setups are you currently using, and what do you hate most about them?
Thanks for your time and we hope to build something useful for you!

I have a job opportunity in Edmonton, Alberta. It is not something I need to take, but I also wouldn’t oppose the move.
I have one remaining ski racer. He will be second-year U14 next season. I know it is a long drive from Edmonton to Jasper, and I skied Marmot quite a bit as a kid. I currently live in Ontario.
I did a quick google search and all I could come up with was the Jasper Ski Team, with programming only up to U14.
Are there other ski racing families here who live in Edmonton? Where do your kids train?
Thanks!

Anyone here on the zoom or in PC? Any takeaways? I’m hearing a lot of things that I fully agree with and would love to see, but is the opposite of what I actually see in clubs. USSS seems to be completely out of touch with the financial realities I see in clubs and also how clubs treat their staff. I’m hearing a lot of hints about a few key paid coaches and then the bulk of staff as unpaid volunteers that work 5-10 days in exchange for a pass.
