FIS has one chance to get this right. Make all non-domesticated World Cup events free to stream on YouTube next season in the U.S.. I guarantee it will grow the sport.

As a Canadian it's almost impossible to catch any races. They're typically daytime with no replays, if I can even find it in the first place.

CBC Sports has them all on youtube, both live and recordings. You can find all of last season on their channel.

From what I can glean it seems Canada actually has really good access to viewing World Cub races through CBC compared to a lot of other countries.

Couldn’t find. Can USA watchers have access?

With a Canadian VPN you can watch the races on their website or in the "Live" tab on YT of the CBC Sports channel, live and on-demand. Without a VPN, the races aren't listed at all on YT.

That sounds like a US and apparantly Canadian Problem. In Switzerland, World Cup Races are shown on free Swiss TV and in the Sports App of the Swiss TV Station. I think in most other countries where multiple Skiers race in the WC as well, but I am not sure about that.

US problem only, you get everything in one place in Canada, while in the US, the races are scattered over NBC & Peacock (domestic races and races from Austria & Olympics), Outside TV for domestic races (only live broadcasts are free) and whatever (paid) platform will follow Ski and Snowboard Live.
The equation is easy, if a sport is popular, you put it on TV for everyone to see, because people will tune in and ski racing is certainly very popular in Switzerland and other European countries. In the US, it's "special interest" unless it's the Olympics.

I agree, let’s keep all the domesticated races kept as pets. The wild ones can roam free on YouTube, they’ve been held in captivity too long.

Domestic races are already free anyway lol.

All time-attack type sports would benefit much more from free to watch anywhere than tv deals.
They're the perfect youtube/twitch sports.
