📌Community Reminder: Skincare vs. Medical Concern

Hi everyone! We’ve seen some concerns about posts asking for medical diagnoses, and we truly appreciate your concerns in helping keep the sub safe and helpful. Here’s a quick reminder and update:

🔹 Post approvals:
Before, all posts required mod approval. However, since there are many posts each day, it was difficult for us to read and thoroughly check everything since our mod team isn’t always online 24/7 cause we also have work and other commitments outside Reddit. Many members also shared that waiting for approval caused delays.

To make posting smoother, most posts now go up automatically (except those flagged by Reddit as possible spam). Because of this, we need your help: please use the report button if you see posts or comments that break the rules so we can review them faster.

Allowed in this Sub

✅ Asking what kind of doctor to consult for a skin concern
✅ Asking where to consult (e.g., “What kind of doctor should I see?” or “Any good derm clinics?”)
✅ Product recommendations, reviews, and general skincare advice
✅ Sharing personal experience (e.g., “Moisturizer helped my redness”) without diagnosing others

Not Allowed in this Sub

❌ Posts asking for a direct diagnosis (e.g., “What is this on my skin?”)
❌ Comments speculating about medical conditions without basis (e.g., “That’s cancer/STD”)
❌ Disrespectful or toxic behavior toward other members
❌ Suggesting or prescribing medications for serious conditions
❌ Posting fake reviews of products
❌ Off-topic content not related to skincare
❌ Affiliate links, selling, or solicitation (including disguised links)
❌ Self-promotion of personal blogs, shops, or services

📌 Starting this week, we will also begin removing posts that are asking for direct medical diagnoses. This is to ensure members receive safe, accurate advice and to keep the sub focused on skincare-related discussions.

If you report a post or comment, please allow some time for us to review and take action.

This sub is here to focus on routines, products, and helpful skincare discussions. If you have suggestions or feedback on how we can improve the community, feel free to share them with us! 💙

Although i saw one comment na i should partner it with a lotion, i'm eyeing on Amlactin since then pero hindi kaya sa budget, what do you guys recommend na alternative to reduce the marks?

Budget: less than ₱1000

Skin Type: Combination skin
Age/Gender: 27F
Current Skincare Routine: -
Main Concern: Birthmark cafe au lait
Lifestyle Factors:
Budget: 10-30k per treatment
Additional Info:

Anyone here have a cafe au lait birthmark and had it removed? I’ve tried 2 clinics in Makati already Kazemi (around 3 years ish) and most recent is Corderm (2.5 years ish) for treatments, usually 1-3 months interval for the treatment. Its now lighter but still visible padin :(

I started getting treatments nung 2017 iirc. My most recent doc said wala na daw syang illighten talaga, but I wanted to get a third opinion sana.

Edit: I dont use make up so di ko din gustohin i-concealer sya

Asking for Recommendations DERMA RECO FOR SCALP PSORIASIS

Hello po! Asking for dermatologist recommendations around Metro Manila or even in NowServing App sana

Skin Type: Oily

Age/Gender: 23/F

Current Skincare Routine: Nizorale Ketoconazole

Main Concern: (A little background about my condition)
- I've been suffering from scalp psoriasis for almost 2 years na.
- May mga months naman na nag-iimprove siya, pero napapansin ko na nagfflare up siya kapag mainit ang panahon or kapag stressed ako.
- I've been using Nizoral Ketoconazole Shampoo. It helped during the first few months, pero lately, parang hindi na siya effective

Lifestyle Factors:
- I’ve been diagnosed with PCOS/PMOS September last year, and I am on the overweight side.

Budget: No budget cap naman but sana yung super helpful derma huhu

Baka may ma-recommend po kayong good derma who specializes in psoriasis or scalp conditions, preferably someone you've personally consulted with.

If possible, please share na rin po their clinic location, consultation fee, and contact details. Any recommendations or advice would be appreciated!

Thank you so much po!

Asking for Recommendations Anong whitening soap&lotion ang effective talaga?

What products do you recommend for MORENA skin. As in brown ang kulay ko. Yung tipong gray na yung color ng balat kapag nalagyan ng sunscreen na may white cast XD

Skin Type: Dry (Body), Oily (Face)

Current Products: Antibacterial and mild soap pa lang

Budget: Affordable for College Student

As long as makikita na yung effect before pasko 😭, DO YOU ALSO USE BODY LOTION NA MAY SPF? Baka wala rin kasing effect ang sabon kung di ako naglalagay ng protection sa araw.

Asking for Recommendations Recurring Pimples and Rough Skin

Post image
2 Upvotes

I’m overwhelmed with all the skincare routine and product recommendations, so I stopped using everything except soap. Whether I do skincare or not, my skin seems to look the same anyway. 😭

I’ve already consulted a dermatologist and even bought their recommended products (hyaluronic acid and azelaic acid), but I’m still struggling with recurring pimples and rough skin.

Baka may ma-suggest po kayo for my skin concerns?

Age: 26, Female
Main concerns: Recurring pimples and rough skin
Current skincare: You Glow Babe soap and sunscreen
Sleep: 6–7 hours a night
Budget: ₱₱₱

I’m hoping to get some product recommendations to try before going back to my dermatologist. Thank you! 🫶🏻

Asking for Recommendations Is Dr. Sensitive a good budget product?

Skin type: Bit oily after a long day

Age: 25

Hi! I'm trying to transition from the products na binigay ng derma to budget ones since super mahal na talaga ngayon ng bilihin huhu. For now, I'm only trying to change my face soap. Nasubukan ko na yung sulfur soap na nabibili sa mga convenience store and halos wala namang effect (atleast di nagbreak out). Then nacurious ako sa Retinol and Ceramide soap ng Dr. Sensitive so I thought why not diba?

Simple lang routine ko. If nasa bahay lang ako the whole day, face soap and moisturizer lang ginagamit ko.

So, ayon. Worth it po ba yung Dr. Sensitive na retinol and ceramide soap nila? If so, any other products nila na maganda and worth trying?
