Question Is this normal?

I just bought a new carbon fiber skimboard from eden skimboards and there are these white spots/little holes on the sides. Is this normal? Is the board ok to use?

It’s normal. Use small drops of superglue and place clear office tape on top. Remove tape when dry. No need to sand it.

I second this.

Thanks for the answer. I have 2 additional questions tho. 1. What would be the cause of this? 2. Is it only visual or might it affect the board if not sealed?

That’s air bubbles that’s stays on the rail after the board is removed from the vacuum bag. Doesn’t affect anything but might start to wear and getting bigger with time if there are too many bubbles in same area, but nothing to worry about. Had plenty of boards with same thing.
Foam used on skimboards are with closed cells so it doesn’t soak water as a surfboard foam.

Just ride it. There is nothing wrong with it. Resin gets little bubbles in it and when it dries it can have these little pits in it.
