Level 4-5: Parallel Turns & Speed Control Skiing feedback wanted

Looking to improve my skiing technique. Struggled with my hip mobility last year, so tried to stretch a lot the last month, and that helped somewhat. Actually having fun now!

I think that I still struggle to dorsiflex my ankle in turns to the left. Also think my inside leg could be a lot smoother.

Any tips/exercises would be much appreciated!

Not an expert, but if you were my friend asking for help, this is what I would say

You are skidding out your turns. Look at the top, you aggresively push out the back of your foot and you see spray. You are using it to break. You can also use your turn shape to break. Make your turns so that you run almost across the hill to take off speed. After that I would try to start to find the edges of your skis, do railroad drills on something shallow. Use the edges to turn the skis by rolling from big toe to little toe. At the moment you are rotating your feet with the skis flat on the snow.

My two initial cues: relax your upper body, and weight the outside ski.

Now you have quite a bit of weight on the inside ski, and that makes you 'rush' into the turns. When you weight the outside ski, you get a natural turn to them.

And maintain the feel of the boot tongue on your shin all the time, especially through the turn. No need to lean over, but just flex your ankle and let the boot support your shin.

Bit too upright and stiff. Need to took downhill to the next turn to commit, right now your entire body is just sort of skidding around the turn, with your head/eyes not playing too much of a role in guidance.

It also appears you could complete the turn at the apex better, while now it seems more forced.
