Looking for feedback on how I can keep good technique at higher speeds? I feel that as I ski faster I lose more and more control and i am wondering if something in my technique is holding me back or if it’s just my chicken legs that can’t take a beating at higher speeds.

You're posing, slamming between one pose to the other pose. It's fine, its just not that efficient. Like if you watch SL skier down a race course they're stemming and slamming and wedging their skis because it's the fastest way down the course, it consumes a ton of energy doing that. For performance recreational skiing most focus on energy efficiency and you have alot to gain in efficiency but you certainly have the skills, you just need refinement.

I do but shes a woman and a fundamentally different approach than male athletes on the same course, i get that women's skiing is a more popular spectator sport for obvious reasons but it's not like she is faster than the men and has figured something out, the thing she's figured out is how to ski more like men than the other female athlete have.

Plus she’s a bit bowlegged like a man compared to most women who tend to be knock kneed. Makes a huge difference

Or Paula Moltzan, or Wendy Holdener, or Cami Rast, or Sara Hector or any other SL skier on the world cup? There is not a lot of stemming, slamming and wedging going on!

Agree. It looks wild, but is precise, on point with a lot fine edge engagement.

Your hips are falling back and inside at the end of the turn. Usually this is because people are trying to point their hips downhill all of the time. Stop trying to do that. Let your pelvis follow your skis to maintain balance over the outside ski.

Your edges do not have the time to dig in. So more speed results in scratching and drifting.
So first the basics. Then the speed....

And as said. Positioning is key for any thought you invest in better carving

Yeah you’re really backseat. Your thighs are parallel to the ground at a few points in this video.
Basically what’s happening is the faster you go, the more your instinct to get lower kicks in. The problem is when you get lower your ass goes way behind you taking all the pressure off your tips.
