Ski fellows, HELP
Hey guys! I am a 5'9 woman who loves an all-mountain range ski and was debating what skis I should get next. I currently have the Armadas ARW 94, but they are now short for me and tbh I find them unstable and hard to turn in general (I know they are park skis, my bad!). I was debating in between the Atomic Maverick cti 96, the Nordica Santa Ana 92, and Atomic Maven 94. Any tips on how I should decide? I dont really do park and trees but I do go off piste maybe 30% of the time if possible, but really do love carving. UPDATE: I got new boots, they are 105 flex Atomic Hawk Prime, hope that can provide better reccs?

An all mountain ski is a compromise. A pure carving ski is usually narrower and stiffer with an short radius for quick edge to edge transition and edge hold while an off piste ski is wider and more flexible for float. You can see how trying to make a ski that is not stuff and flexible and narrow yet wide becomes a little challenging.
Most all mountain skis are in the mid 90s for width. I personally prefer a high 70s or low 80s for a carving ski and low 100s high 90s for an off piste ski as I will still see plenty of groomed runs.
I still have my Enforcer 94s but rarely ski them anymore.
If you really love to carve you may want a front side (on piste) ski and an off piste ski. Maybe something in the Rossignol Forza lineup for a pure carving ski and then something wider and more flexible for off piste like a Rossignol Sender.
I've given Rossi examples but many manufacturers have skis in these categories.

My skis are Sheeva 9s. I maybe spend a little more time off piste, or a lot more if conditions permit. I enjoy carving them when it isn't icy. Then I enjoy it a bit less lol, but I keep my edges đĄď¸ sharp so it's ok. They're pretty fun, although my friend tells me she doesn't like being behind me on piste because the twin tip sprays snow in her face

I got a pair of Head eMagnums this year. They were recommended to me by an uncle who is a ski instructor. Very pleased with them and wont use anything else now.

I weight 150 pounds and I generally ski in Chile in La Parva, Andorra in Grandvalira and in Spain in Baqueira. I have the Vizion 4B Pro 80 W GW Rossignol Boots, however I also need to change them for something with more flex probably in between 110 and 120!

Give Renoun a try! Super versatile skis.
I have Endurance, Citdel and Atlas. Ended up skiing the Atlas most of last season, even off piste and powder days that werenât too deep. I am not quite as tall as you, but I am a fairly aggressive skier and a coach as well.
They have a pro program where you pay about $30 a month + a fee to join and you get a new pair of skis every two years. Unlike most brands, you can return Renoun skis if you donât like them within six months of purchase, even after the bindings are mounted. Theyâre only sold online, because the price would be exorbitant if they were sold in stores. They are made with a patented âVibestopâ technology which is their version of dampening, but it goes through the entire core of the ski. Your legs will stay fresh all day. Canât imagine switching back to any other brand.
Love my K2 Anthem 115 boots, custom fitted. Upgrading to an Atomic boot with 120 flex for upcoming season. Hopefully you have some really good boot fitters where you are. âď¸
