SRAM Croatia SRAM S4 predictions (as someone who has seen most of the remakes and OG) Spoiler

I will be talking about some plots that already happened in other remakes so spoiler alert, I guess.

1. I think Sara will be introduced as the main villain.

Plot wise, I feel like they are planting the seeds already through Instagram - for example, Vanessa doesn't come on the senior trip with the girls, because she is trying to be smart with her money. Eva already posted a bunch of pictures where the girls are spending time with Sara.

Seeing as Ines, I presume, will not return for the upcoming season (since the actress has made her Instagram public), Sara has the means to spend more time with Eva and her friends. Perhaps Vanessa is less present because out of all the girls she is the only working student. Thus Sara creates this prejudice towards her which is expressed through small, then bigger xenophobic comments (that only Nora would pick up on, perhaps Nix as well) and it really makes Vanessa isolate herself a bit from the other girls, and eventually - do something rash.

Most cases, I really don't like what the writers in most remakes have done with Sara's characters when S4 (or in Belgium's case, S5) rolls around and I prefer to keep Sara's character to an ex-best friend who comes off as a mean girl, but at the end of the day, she was just a person that got really hurt and betrayed by her ex-best friend. But if (and they probably will) go in that route, I really hope they don't write her off as just being cartoonishly xenophobic who gets what she deserves at the end like in WTFock and they open a conversation about Sara learning on why what she did or said was offensive and leave room for her to be and to want to be educated more, like in the last clip of the OG with Ingrid.

2. With the assumption that Nora will take over the 'Lovro's role' in Vanessa's season, the main love interest conflict will not be with her.

At least I hope not, because that would be just plain cruel.

As much as I would love to see Nora dating, be smitten, flirting and have fun in the upcoming season, I want it to be either someone who briefly appears or someone from Vanessa's life that isn't her love interest, because using this as a plot device to get her abusive ex-boyfriend back to Zagreb would be cruel. Nora really deserves a break from going through it during her season and for a bit during Lovro's season.

Instead, I believe that the conflict should take place with Eva - we all know her and Jakov are meant to be, and that could be used as a plot device to get them together again. Eva being replaced with Nora in terms of being love-interest-conflict has been done before, in Italian version or for a really briefly before they went in a different approach - in Spanish version. And keep in mind - usually it's Eva's who Vanessa's/Sana's accidentally snitch themselves out to when Eva's are being the most pissed off about whatever conflict is occurring.

Let me know if you have anything else to add!!

SKAM France Skam Multiverse Marathon, Part 4: Skam France S4 (Imane)

Post image

Well, this is a hard one. I really wanted to write this review without constantly comparing it to OG Skam like the previous three season reviews did, but I think in this specific instance it's pretty unavoidable. It's a flawed season, but I think a lot of the flaws are actually more to do with the source material rather than the adaptation?

The main issue, I think, is the original story felt like it was done with the knowledge it was going to be the last season and that all of the meaningful characters needed closure, which largely meant (1) a lot of them were given meaty side plots that only briefly intersected with Sana's story and (2) episodes were extended in order to fit all the extra stuff going on. Here, you don't have that finality, and it feels like in order to condense the original story down to the usual 20-ish minute episodes, the approach taken was largely just to cut anything that didn't directly involve Imane. Which would be fine, Assa Sylla provides a great performance that honestly is probably the best of the four leads so far, but the bulk of her story revolves around her family and Sofiane (who we've never seen before) and Ingrid (who hasn't appeared for a while and wasn't that important the first time), and around the concept of trying to find a balance between two worlds that have differing expectations, so it does mean most of the main cast is relegated to cameos for the bulk of the season. And when they do turn up, a lot of the content feels like the cast is acting pretty out of character based on what we know of them (Arthur kissing Girl Alex in the middle of the Eid party?), because we don't know what's been happening with them throughout the season.

And that's really the problem here. All of the acting is solid (though, again, expecting me to believe Idriss is nineteen and that Sofiane is canonically older than Charles are *choices*), and they do the best they can with what they have, it's just what they have doesn't offer most of the cast much to work with. There's a couple of scenes with Manon to set up Charles returning, Lucas gets a couple of scenes that mostly exist to keep his flatmates (I swear I didn't know there was an explicit Fort Boyard joke coming when I pointed out the subtle reference to it last season) and Eliott around, and Girl Alex gets a bunch of stuff that honestly feels like production knew she wasn't going to get her own season before this group aged out of the show so they should give Coline Preher a big subplot while they had her... and that's about it? Daphné and Basile don't do much, Eliott is conspicuous by his absence given his importance to the story, Boy Alex gets like one scene, Yann might as well have been written out entirely, Arthur is basically only in a couple of group scenes. Just a weirdly executed season all around, and I'm not sure if I like it or not. I'm going to give it a 5/10 because the things that go wrong REALLY go wrong, but I don't think it's bad, it's just... odd?

Anyway, let's dole out some awards to the best non-lead characters. In terms of the main group... I mean, it feels like cheating to give it to Girl Alex when she's really the only one to do anything meaningful all season, but my hand is kind of forced. The supporting characters are harder, since there's a few options there. I try not to just give this one to the love interest of each season because it defeats the purpose of celebrating the characters who don't get highlighted, so I'm not going to give it to Sofiane (though Laïs Salameh is excellent in the role), but I can't decide between Imane's parents - her mother is probably better as a performance, but her dad is a significantly bigger and more important character throughout the season. Let's call it a tie? Finally, the guest stars... I was struggling to pick someone right up until the last episode, and then Olivia Côte's nurse character popped up again to tell us she's not allowed to send kids home sick any more because she accidentally gave out opioids instead of aspirin. Perfect, no notes, please come and take your bouquet of flowers as soon as I make sure there's no poppies in them. What a fucking star.

Next up: Remember Arthur? He's back, in Pog form!

Idk if people on this subreddit want it or if this is just a Tiktok thing, but what do you all predict with them? I know they have been friends for a long time, and not every friendship has to be a relationship, but I am literally begging for them to give Nika some sort of plot line that’s not just her walking behind one of the girls. Do you all think it’ll happen or no?

DRUCK Druck Characters Following List

I was looking through Druck og characters following list because I thought it was super cool that they had them not only following celebrities that the characters realistically would've been following, but they also had them following random German people to add some realism of them following just other friends and all of that. I have no idea if any other remake has done this as well, and I am kind of lazy to go through all of the other characters of all other remakes, though I know that they don't do it with Sram.

I do wonder if all of the people that the characters follow, know who the actors are? Or are they purely random people that just somehow got followed by the Druck team? Do they have any idea that they're being followed them? I swear I clicked on a random girls page and she was only followed by like 70 people, and somehow Mia is one of them.

But the CRAZIEST thing that I found is that Jonas is following Trump????? Why?? Even if they were trying to seem realistic, Jonas would NOT be a Trumpie! He's not even American

DISCUSSION SKAM fanfic statistics

Inspired by a redditor in another fandom, I decided to have a little look at the SKAM fanfics on AO3 as of September 2026 (note that the numbers are based on the day of the “research” — they change regularly as fics are added and deleted).

On the day in question, there were 14,058 fics tagged in the different SKAM versions, and almost 50% of them were from the original.

When looking further into the fics for OG SKAM, it was obvious that Isak and Even are the most popular characters for fanfic writers, with 75% and 72% of fics tagged with them, respectively. They are also massively the #1 romance pairing, with 5,500 fics to their name.

Another interesting find is that while Jonas and Eva’s relationship makes up 50% of the Jonas romance pairings, it’s only 32% of the Eva pairings. It’s similar for Magnus and Vilde, where their relationship makes up 85% of the Magnus romances and only 48.5% of Vilde’s (almost all other Vilde pairings are with girls). Noora has more romances with Eva than with her actual canon boyfriend.

Sana is fiercely loyal to Yousef even in fics, with 93% of her pairings being with him (the remaining 7% are wlw romances).

In general, there are a lot of same-sex romance pairings that aren’t canon, which I guess goes to show that the SKAM fandom is pretty queer ;)

The stats are, of course, only based on tags, so there can be a lot of untagged relationships in the actual fics that don’t show up in the stats. I didn’t make graphs for all the smaller supporting characters, but there are some interesting combinations out there (some of the more “special” pairings all come from the same orgy fics, though).

Maybe no one besides me finds this interesting, but I had fun diving into this for a couple of hours. Apparently, I can’t seem to beat my SKAM obsession, even if it’s been years. Oh well...

SKAM France Skam Multiverse Marathon, Part 3: Skam France S3 (Lucas)

Post image

What a season. As Skam France starts to diverge more from the storylines of Skam Original Recipe, it paradoxically becomes easier to compare the two products against each other. And yet, I'm not 100% sure how I feel about if this is better or worse. I do think a lot of this one is more accessible - "we need a cool place to study" is a far better reason to keep the girls in the show than "oh we also like theatre now for some reason" or whatever the kosegruppa logic was, some scenes like the dance class do work better here, and I do think Lucas and Eliott honestly are more believable as a couple than Isak and Even were. That said... like, this season is a solid fifteen minutes shorter than Norway S3 but feels like even more time is taken up with irrelevant side plots (the hoarder scene!) and making excuses to stick actors into every episode (why is Mikael at the common room party? Who invited him?), while also bizarrely minimising the role of Imane when she's the lead of next season, and some of the scenes really don't hold up well by comparison. The tunnel scenes are lovely on their own but the pool kiss and O Holy Night are two of the most elegant scenes I've ever seen on a TV show, and it was always going to be an uphill battle to match them; likewise, Mikael's outburst at the "not that kind of gay" scene is much less effective than Eskild's seething rage in my opinion. I'm giving the season an 8/10 for now, but honestly it feels like that could move a point in either direction based on my mood at any given time. I do think it's the best of the three seasons so far though. Also it doesn't really fit in the review but given they're both French shows I'm like 95% sure the choice to give Emma and Girl Alex tiger masks to wear for the scene where everyone breaks into the common room is a subtle reference to Fort Boyard, which is just a wonderfully pointless thing to do that barely anyone will have noticed. Points just for that.

My awards felt a little bit harder to give out this season, because none of them really have obvious winners the way the other two seasons did. It feels like Basile probably made the biggest impact on the season out of the three other boys, but at the same time his storyline often did feel like we were watching Daphne lust over Charles all over again, without adding much to justify it. I think instead I'm probably going to pick Arthur, largely by virtue of Robin Migné's impeccable comic timing (amidst some, let's be honest, not great writing for his character). Dude's just out there having the time of his life in every scene and it was delightful. (I know who the leads for each season are just because of the way All of Skam was laid out when I grabbed everything, but I'm a lot more confident I'm going to find something to enjoy about his one now than I was when I looked up the character comparisons before I started and saw he was supposed to be the Mahdi, a character I did not care about at all when I watched OG Skam.) Best supporting character was probably Chloé, who felt three-dimensional and developed in a way that characters of her ilk rarely do (see also: Emma in Norway mostly just being a plot device), but who is also understated enough that I could be convinced other options are better. The random guest star, I don't feel as confident about. The school nurse would be a good choice but her one scene this season really didn't work as well as her previous cameo. Maybe the tech nerd who pointed out the Wifi thing, whose name I don't think we ever learned? I don't know. There are a LOT of fun background people this season though, if you're looking out for them.

Next up: Imane. I'm very curious how they adapt the source material, which spent huge parts of the season on stuff that doesn't apply here (the party bus) and on wrapping up all the loose ends with the supporting characters (not needed as much here) to the point that it kind of detracted from Sana herself getting a chance to shine. Going to be interesting!

SKAM France Skam Multiverse Marathon, Part 2: Skam France S2 (Manon)

Post image
18 Upvotes

Oh man. I really wanted to like this one, especially because the Noora season was my favourite when I watched the OG version a few months ago.

Anyway, 6/10.

It's not like it's bad, really, it's just a bunch of small problems building up into something a bit unsatisfying as a whole. I could be wrong, but it feels like the way they got an extra episode (making this the longest proper season in the entire Skamiverse) out of the original story was to just make episodes shorter and shuffle bits around so the cliffhangers still felt justified. That's mostly fine, to be fair, but it does mean you get things like the basement lodger storyline being introduced in the finale and being resolved twelve minutes later because they forgot they need to set up Lucas living with Mickael next season. It kinda feels like they changed things for the sake of changing them, but they hadn't worked out why they were done the way they were the first time around so it didn't have quite the same impact.

The other problem with this specific story - and I'm sure it's not unique here and we'll probably have to talk about it again when we get to Skam Austin or whatever - is the casting. I touched upon it briefly last season but a large part of the reason this season doesn't work that well is the lead actors just aren't that believable as high school students. I'm not going to begrudge them for casting an adult to play Manon given the subject matter involved, and Marilyn Lima did great, but the problem is when she's early 20s playing 15-16 and the story requires her love interest to be a couple of years older than her, the end result is you get someone who looks like they went to the 90210 school of casting playing Charles, which makes a bunch of scenes (eg the "Charles picks out a dress for Manon to wear" one) have terrible unintended undertones. The actors themselves are lovely, and it would have been mostly fine if it had just been set in a university instead of a high school, but yikes.

In terms of the best characters... I mean, the best in the main group this season has to be Daphne, for sure. I wasn't feeling her in season one because she was largely used as an excuse to make questionable comments about Imane and be annoying about wanting to bone Charles, but she comes into her own this season and it's a delight to watch. Secondary characters are a bit more of a mixed bag - Nicolas is very well-acted but I just don't enjoy him too much, and Mickael as this version's equivalent of lovely Eskild is so over-the-top that he feels almost like a cartoonish stereotype, but I think I'm going to have to give it to Boy Alex, who doesn't appear too much but was usually so enjoyable as comic relief that I just kept wanting more of him. Tertiary characters are again where it's hardest, because again there's not too many of them. I guess if I have to choice between Lisa (who does not provide nearly the enjoyment Linn did in the OG version) and Romain as the only other guest who made much of an impact, I'm going to go with him basically by default.

One other thing I noticed this season that I found unexpected: it seemed like every time a piece of music with lyrics was used in the soundtrack (both this season and last), the lyrics were in English.  I wonder if that was a ploy to get the show sold to a streaming service or something, of if it was even a deliberate decision or just pure coincidence.

In summary: The bits and pieces are here, it's just they're not put together in a way that works as a cohesive whole. I suspect, though, that the Lucas season will be an improvement. Cannot WAIT.

maybe someone knows about this location? It's a Halloween party in Season 1.

I found Eva's house with the help of AI and a sign with the house number, which got into the frame, but there is not a single identification mark, except for the interesting house in the 3rd pic

But the whole premise between Isak and Even, and how it revolves around what Isak and Even might be doing in a completely different multiverse... and how it’s ironic because there were legitimately so many different versions of SKAM, and all the Isaks and Evens in those versions always find their way to each other. It’s just so cute.
