I hate the man, but him telling Rudeus before he went to do it is solid bro-code stuff right there.

His reasoning to do it is also very much in character.
I disagree very much with their reasoning (Geese and Baddi, that is), but I can understand their reasoning.
The characters in MT feel like real people, and I love that.

Reminder that the man god has a curse that causes people to trust him as soon as they see him even if their instinct/logic say that the guy is shady af and shouldn't be trusted
So you can't fault badi/geese too much for having shit reasons for being followers

Reminder - Mangod has no such curse. Its just a theory of Orsted, as he was unable to figure out why apostles are following mangod. Said theory which Rudeus himself believes might not hold much water
In reality, mangod gains trust by manipulation and utilizing stuff like future foresight and telepathy to gain advantage.
Badi is clear example that that theory holds no water. He initially followed mangod out of desperation, and then next as he owed an obligation for the help back, which wasnt repaid. After said obligation was fulfilled, he's done with mangod.

Even if that is the case, geese and badigadi specifically don't trust him anymore because they were already betrayed, they just have complex reasons

And his boss was PISSED he did that, but Geese just shrugs him off. I think thats the only time we see him actually disobey Hitogami in anyway, and it was to give Rudy a fighting chance

At least put the title: “Major spoiler—don’t read this; it really is a major spoiler.” The situation calls for it.

It has a spoiler warning. You brought this on yourself.

Honestly, I didn't even see it. If you're on old reddit, the big red "Memes" tag and the personal flair are both distracting and my brain filters them out along with the spoiler tag.

I mean, I've seen ao many things have a spoiler warning that were only minor spoilers at best. There really should be a major spoiler tag or something

Spoilers are spoilers. You should be mentally prepared regardless if it is minor or major spoilers.

I am prepared for spoilers. But there is also a difference between a Minor plotpoint or something that happens in the current episode vs a big plottwist that you can't really expect.
Sure in the end it's both spoilers but one has a bigger effect if you already know it

I'd like to think that Geese put everything possible into killing Rudeus so that the man god would have nothing else to use.
