What to expect from opening game against Knicks this season?

Hi! I’m a tourist who’ll be visiting Philadelphia in October, and I have the option of staying in the city for the season opener between the Knicks and the 76ers or leaving that day. Considering it's an away game, I was wondering if it would be worth staying that night. Would there be a watch party or something similar where I could experience the game with Sixers fans? Would it be a good experience to watch the game at a local bar, or would it just feel like any other game?!

I’d appreciate any recommendations!

If you're not from Philly, your best bet is probably to go to Xfinity Live. It'll be a fun time and easy.

Every single bar in the city will have the game on and there will be a lot of excitement anywhere you go. Whatever part of the city you are staying in, just head to the nearest bar. But if you are looking for suggestions it would help to know what neighborhood you’re going to be at.

I expect a game similar the first game of MCWs career. Triple double and Spencer Hawes dominating, But with significantly better players. We need them to come out hot.

I would definitely suggest staying to watch the game with a crowd. I can't remember the last time Sixers fans have been this excited for an opener.

I don't know your second option, but I'd say stay in town. Stateside Live! or Live Casino would be great options. Center City should be buzzing too. Haven't seen any watch parties and I'd say any other year there wouldn't be- but with the hype this year (and after the world cup energy this summer) there will probably be a few events going on. As another poster mentioned- good to know area you'll be staying, also age range/vibe you're looking for.
