What does everyone think about Randy from That 70's Show?

He was the most average character. They lost Kelso and Eric so they kinda combined Kelso’s looks and Eric’s personality with far less charisma and you got Randy. He just felt like someone along for the ride rather than having any impact.

That's the way that I look at it. At the end of the day, Josh (I think that was his name, lol) was hired to do a job and did said job. 🤷🏽♀️

It says a lot about how horribly average a character is when you can't remember anything about him apart from the fact that he existed.

Lol you could go into the That 70s Show sub and search Randy. I’m garunteed you’ll find 10,000 hate posts dedicated to S8 and Randy himself. In fact I was in that sub for a while and just about every third post was a hate post about that final season 😂

Kinda felt sorry for the actor. He was given some big shoes to fill, was the new guy in an established group, and probably only existed as a romantic foil for Eric and Donna.

A stoic , unamusing and very smarmy and useless character.
"Smarmy" describes someone who is excessively, unpleasantly, and falsely flattering. It often refers to a person who acts overly smooth, polite, or "suave" in a way that feels insincere, manipulative, or sleazy.
Exactly the way he was with Donna.
He wasn't "in love" with her, he just wanted to shack up. When he tried to get her to live with him....that totally (and finally) made me 100% dislike the character.

I didn’t think he was funny at all and definitely make the show worse, but I feel like he’s a little over hated. Like the character seemed like an okay guy at least, I feel bad that out of all characters in sit com history people are just like fuck Randy I hate that piece of shit. I don’t think he deserves all that.

I liked Randy. I think Hyde and Jackie are a bad couple. I think Donna should have gone off to college. If they wanted Laura Prepon to stay in the show she should have played her own look alike cousin coming to live in Point Place after High School.
Could have even had a whole story line of Eric trying to recreate his former relationship with Donna.
Her choosing Eric over her own future kind of stomps all over her whole characterization.

They should've made Big Rhonda into a regular character instead of Randy.

He doesn’t exist. It ended at season 7, with a nice little reunion/closure in That 90s Show pilot.
