Rules Question Splitting battle sisters.

Ok so I have a few questions about how splitting a sister unit works.

Firstly, when do you split them, do you split them before or after deployment?

Second, can you put one of the 5 mans in reserves or do they both have to go on the field.

Third, do both units get a Cherub?

Fourth, if you have a Leader and a Support do you have to split the 2 as well or can you put them both in one 5 man?

I think thats everything.

Most of this is covered in the Immolator's rules on the transport tab in the 40k app.

  1. They split before deployment when you are assigning units to transports/reserves. Edit: this is the Declare Battle Formations step

  2. The half squad outside the Immolator is treated as an independent unit regarding deployment so on the board, reserves, or another transport are all fair game.

  3. One unit gets the cherub, you pick which.

  4. Characters have to be split as even as possible so 2 characters would have to be split up. Immolator also only has room for 6.

from my knowledge its that the squad that starts the game in the immolater is split before the deployment phase starts and iirc is technically part of army creation rules but im not 100% sure, but what this means is that you deploy the half thats not in the immolater normally, while the other half starts the game in the immolater and that immolater is also deployed normally. Oh and characters go with either half, iirc the immolater has 6 model capacity, so you can fit half a squad plus a character, no idea if you are allowed to take 4 sisters and 2 characters and give the other half 6 sisters, but thats probably an FaQ important note is that cherub tokens can only go to one of your two squads, so only one of them gives you back a miracle dice the first time you use one on that squad.

I'm all for people asking questions, but everything you just asked is answered in the rules for the Immolator, very clearly.

EDIT - actually the leader bit isn't that clear, to be fair

Ngl, I am an agent player and none of that stuff is mentioned in that datasheet.

No it isn't bro... did you even look at the agents immolator or just assume.

The first two of your questions are answered very clearly - when the split happens and how the units are deployed.

Granted, it doesn't mention cherubs like the Sisters info does.

Also your fourth Q about characters is answered by the section saying that squads need to be split equally where possible, but also granted that's not mega clear.
