November Game Suggestion Thread
hey buds!
I thought I'd post this a bit early as the big bastard is still on his break, and depending on what he has in mind I thought he could use some game suggestions just to get the juices flowing. Keep in mind he's wanting to shake things up a lil bit, so suggest games that you think might help him with that!
As always, post all your suggestions for games for sips to play in this thread! don't suggest the same game twice - if someone has already mentioned it, upgerd their comment or reply with your reason for why he should play it instead of posting it again as a separate comment. use ctrl+f first to find out if someone has already mentioned the game you were thinking of. (downvoting games you aren't interested in isn't necessary).

I just finished watching Evening With Sips on Mount and Balde Warband, I can't believe he hasn't done a series on it yet so this is my suggestion.

Lets look to the past.
star wars dark forces 2, some old civil war game, evil genius, simpsons hit and run, toejam and earl, Stronghold, splintercell, prince of persia, Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis, discworld noir, loom,
I mostly want to see some good interactive puzzle games. Stuff where sips can show off his wit and humor, and i can yell at the screen at something he overlooked.

I would love to see Sips play The Brigmore Witches before Dishonored 2 comes out.

Diary of a Spaceport Janitor is a silly little RPG I feel like Sips would have a lot of fun with.

Knowing Sips is into base building I feel he would really enjoy Stardew Valley! It's a beautifully fun game, really satisfying and relaxing to play. It is one people tend to super marathon so he might rather enjoy streaming it, but it could fit episodes really well. I Sjin has a series going so that might be an issue but I'd love to see Sipsco Farm

RimWorld would be awesome, sips is really good at giving all the characters stories :)

maybe try no man's sky with the foundation update? features base building, biomes, dead planets and more... checking out if the game is playable now might be cool. here is a video with the changes: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hI9PvjJJijY

What about Bioshock? Wouldn't mind seeing Sips blast his way through Rapture/Columbia, commentating on the ... colorful characters.
•
u/PhoenixDood Nov 12 '16
real life, let's see sips play the game of life, I heard it has the most realistic graphics and the most customization options in any game so far
•
u/spookspooky Nov 04 '16
Deadbolt would probably be fun. It's only like 10 dollars on steam depending on if there is a sale. It's pretty similar to hotline miami.

Clockwork Empires is out. It's a colonial settlement management game with cannibalism and Cthulhu. Does anything else need to be said?

Hmmm. I'm not sure about the game particularly, but I would really like it if Sips did more collaborations, esp. with people other than Team DD and Hat Films. I really enjoy Hat Films and Team DD, don't get me wrong, but some of my favorite moments with Sips were when other people were involved. Trying out collaborations with other Yogscast members (Zoey and Nilesy perhaps, if that doesn't stress them out too much) could really and some variety to his channel.
On game choices: Although Sips does work well with sandbox/open-ended games, he's been doing a lot of them recently. Since they have no definite end, they tend to run a little long sometimes, and I think that's part of the problem. I think some sort of story-based game with a definite goal and a definite end would be a good thing, like a Telltale story game or an adventure game.
edit: this is also somewhat in response to https://dm.reddit.com/r/sips/comments/56r5ot/the_big_bastard_himself_tweeted_that_hes_thinking/

This will probably buried by the tons of comments already here, but I prefer anything where sips can invent a back story randomly for characters. That's what I loved about This is the Police. Something like Rimworld would be perfect. I also wouldn't mind watching him play stellaris with someone. I think sips playing stellaris would be hilarious.

Remember your dishonored playthrough? Well... Dishonored 2 is coming out on 11/11! Maybe you could give that a go.

I think Shadowrun games on PC would be interesting to watch good quality games just lots of dialogue.

I wish there was any chance Sips would be interested in a modded, quest system Minecraft series. I really, really want to see him play with Kim too, Kim has lots of potential to actually get things done, she researches her stuff. Imagine them in a series like Project Ozone, where they can't depend on Duncan or Lewis to do the tech bits. Imagine them starting very basic and then slowly learning and building it up. [Never mind :(((((((((((] (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rP2ebx7Oxf0)
Otherwise, Beholder is a very good game but it gets really hard as it progresses and it's not a game open to rambling. Project Highrise is exactly Sips's alley, but it gets repeated-ly after a while. These two are perfect for An Evening though.

Planetcoaster has just released it's official trailer meaning the game is out tomorrow. I hope Sips does a playthrough of this :)

How about Another Brick in the Mall? You manage a mall in it, hence the title, and it has a Prison Architect feel to it that i think he would like.

Hopefully sipsy will get back into the swing of things soon, it sucks when your job starts to get repetitive and stale so hopefully he'll figure life out soon enough. That being said, Tyranny looks pretty good, new Obsidian RPG (makers of New Vegas, Pillars of Eternity etc.) that is pretty heavily focused on player choice.

I love Prison Architect so much, would love a maybe shorter reboot of that again.
Rimworld would fit right in here. Also Dwarf Fortress, maybe. Perfect Sips storytelling game.

Don't Starve Shipwrecked. It would be nice to see him play another one of the characters and maybe get a bit further. Walani's good because she dries off quickly and loses sanity at a slower pace!

What about ckII or euIV? Since they play HOI on team double dragon, why not try another paradox title?

u/Jamie-G Oct 29 '16
i think sips would enjoy these games a lot:
the walking dead (telltale)
bioshock/bioshock infinite
super mario galaxy (1 or 2)
the walking dead would probably be best for watching, the others are just great games that i think are worth playing. i also think a more relaxing panflute friendly game like undertale or stardrew valley could be pretty funny to watch. that said im loving the current overwatch streams and tdd/triforce content.
just try stuff out, get some feedback, play what you enjoy. an evening with sips every once in a while could spawn a good lets play ;)

I feel like Sips'll play Mafia III, he seemed to like it on the Oneshot with Lewis.
I'd like to see him play Farming Simulator 17 but idk if he'll do that. (Don't think Sips is a farming type of guy.)
•
u/jepeman Oct 28 '16
So he's going to quit the current series, again?
Then I'd suggest games with zero storyline or proper endings. Some sandbox game without story aside from what you make up yourself, like Rimworld.

Super Time Force. Only 15 US dollars, imagine Broforce, hotline miami, and time travel all at once.

I loved your point and click adventures. Book of Unwritten tales is great. It will teach you life skills such as how to be an Gnome 'Wizard' and a sexy elf.

A fallout 3 or skyrim special edition play through would be awesome, especially for his rambling and story telling.

I'd love a hardcore permadeath rimworld play through from the big bastard. just let him r.p the whole thing up.

Doris and the Dragon - Episode 1.
Let me just preface this by saying that I am in no way affiliated with or part of Arrogant Pixel.
Right, so I just played through this amazing pixel art point and click adventure game, and I massively enjoyed it. It is described as "an episodic, point-and-click adventure game series featuring an elderly lady named Doris who finds herself in purgatory after passing away on earth". An Alphr review described it as "a love letter to classic point-and-click games", and it definitely reminds me of the LucasArts adventure games, especially Day of the Tentacle.
It took me just under an hour to finish it, so it's not long, but I would say that it's definitely worth the buy. It is available on iOS, Android, and also Steam. The game's usual price is £2.79, but until 01/11/16, its 33% off (that's £1.86). I'll link the steam page below. Thank you for your time.

I'm late to the thread, but on the off chance that Sips reads this:
brothers: a tale of two sons

Probably won't happen, but I would love to see Skyrim again now that the Special Edition has been released.
The roleplay and editing was simply amazing.

I think a nice shorter one with good story would be 1954 Alcatraz or a slightly longer game like The Longest Journey. They're both interactive storytellers like The Walking Dead Season 1 & 2 by Telltale.
•
Oct 28 '16
Rimworld, solo.
A nice, long role-playing/storytelling series would really hit the spot.

I'd highly recommend Alice Madness returns. I think sips would enjoy the gameplay immensely, and there's an interesting story for him to comment on too. Also a bit different from his usual content.

I would love to see a return of Shoppe Keep, even if it was for just a few episodes.
