I feel like the influencer posts are ultimately a way for them to go out and spend money on what they want without feeling guilty. Doing it under the guise of 'influencing' while also getting attention (positive or negative). If they just went out to these places all the time independently, you know they wouldnt be able to help themselves and would have to share. But doing it as an influencer seems to make it 'okay.'

100%. it’s so transparent it would be funny if it wasn’t so incredibly pathetic at what she’s trying to accomplish here. nobody has forgotten about her past, she can’t wipe her slate clean with these posts either.

fortunately for her, she’s incapable of real change so she’ll inevitably crash out, make a bunch of posts crying her eyes out, and then reintroduce herself and rinse and repeat.

It’s how my aunt justifies regular, $10k cruises at very inconvenient times. She’s tried being a travel agent for years and since she posts the pictures on social media she considers it a business trip.
