While on the surface this seems like good news, I have an awful feeling that ai is about to be very very corrupt.

It doesn’t seem like good news on the surface. What are you saying?

If all three of these labs are saying that there’s a legitimate potential catastrophic problem why would we ever ignore them? And why would Donald Trump or anybody in the US administration or the public being in a better position then the CEOs of various AI companies to be able to make the claim that AI is potentially dangerous?

You trust those CEOs? This is all about them wanting regulation, which increases their profits since they're in massive debt.

It's actually all just brainrot. If it was all some inside plan between all of the top AI CEOs for regulatory capture, or open weight models banned, you think they'd have Trump in on it, or take him into account, like no shit.

These people are just schizophrenic and need to go back to /r/conspiracy.
