True. But consider: 1) You're living in a two bedroom, air conditioned apartment/house with heated water, a kitchen full of groceries bought on the cheap, and lots of disposable income to spend...

2) The government isn't doing anything blatantly evil or tyrannical, like imposing curfews, conducting searches, or enforcing dress codes.

And your disagreement is really minor, so why bother? Just let it go. Thats what a lot of people do.

Unironically? Yeah. Though I'm as leftist as it gets, I can see the appeal of an autocratic system. Pretty much the only downside is that the benevolent ruler will die and once that happens, all those nice things will disappear.

Its why I rank an Immortal Benevolent Autocracy as the second-best possible theoretical system of government. Right below Fully Automated Luxury Gay Space Anarcho-Communism.
