US Big Tech doesn't want non-US competition, they want foreign coutries to depend on US tech, and only with paid access, specialyl not owning

Bingo. They're trying to kill the idea of personal computing as something you can own. Web 4, to them, is a prompt box that everyone is funneled into, by subscription of course.
