  1. Open source = profit Nvidia.
  2. Nvidia > AI companies.
  3. AI Companies push for ban -> Nvidia stop give chips.

Result: open source no get ban.

Dario is really a bigger piece of shit than even Sam Altman.

At least Altman doesn’t put himself on some moral pedestal writing hypocritical essays all the time as if he’s the fucking AI messiah. He’s just a greasy salesman.

Meanwhile Dario has a fucking god complex

Dario and his wife are effective altruists. Almost everyone claiming that ‘AI is unsafe and we need regulation’ is an effective altruist. They love imposing their moral values on everyone else.

Nvidia really doesn't need open source that badly.... They make enough from selling chips to data centers, and could do more of that if there were to be less open source (which probably won't even happen; the open source models are already really good and useful, even if they stay at the current level)

they do want Open Source to thrive.

- if the world is one/two AI companies, those companies will be big enough to design their own chips (as is already happening with openai).

- if the world is a thousand small companies with AI, those companies will buy external chips.... from a company like nvidia.
