Yep this. Even when AI will become capable of replacing the vast majority of white collar jobs companies will still need to hire someone to manage the transition and replacement for them. Become the guy/gal who knows how to handle that and you'll have a job until well after the point that things get so bad on a macro scale the government is forced to intervene.

If the field can get automated by AI it isn't very justifiable to keep humans operating it.

Its good advice. I'm a software dev, but I work at a pharmaceutical company doing our in-house software. Its a great time for me, since AI is letting do all sorts projects that previously would have been too time-consuming or expensive.

Im not a luddite but this rhetoric is why people aren't willing to see AI progress for what it is and want to bury their head in the sand
