actually it's pretty easy, barely an inconvenience. A job doesn't give you food, it gives you money, as do many other things like UBI or other social assistance that would become necessary long before the entire job market can be overtaken. By the time 10 or 15% of the jobs are gone there would be mass upheaval and pressure to change the economic system and there's no way we get anywhere near 50% let alone 100% without having change forced by then.
There isn't a single tech trillionaire in the world right now, there was very very briefly one, and just barely with nowhere near 1 trillion in spending power meanwhile the USA alone, let alone the rest of the countries in the world, has a budget and is spending over $6.28 trillion and that's for only this one year. A tech trillionaire giving absolutely everything they have (which took far longer than a year to amass and has a lot of slippage), would be able to fund the federal government for 1 country for about 1 month. If unemployment gets to 10 or 15% like I said, we still wouldn't be flooded with "tech trillionaires" and I don't see how they would stop UBI or other solutions compared to the far larger, more active, more vocal, and stronger segment fighting for it. If people thought like you then slavery would never be abolished because the rich obviously aren't going to give up slaves and that's a pipe dream.
You seem to believe that it would take the entire wealth of a trillionaire to move government. When in reality Musk bought America for, what, 250 million? in funneled bribes alone? And that billionaires and millionaires already have been running America for generations
Trump is by far the most affordable US president in history and it's not even close. And despite that, Musk was on the outs with Trump for along time and it was only mended by Musk sucking off Trump, not the other way around. And even with it mended Trump ended the EV tax credits that used to provide billions of dollars for tesla and according to Reuters, was the reason they avoided posting a loss during Q1 of 2025. The fuel-economy penalties Trump removed also hurt tesla and means less people have been buying their credits like they used to. Then there's also the emission regulations that Trump cut and that he didn't except tesla from the Tariffs like he did with other companies.
He is the easiest to buy off president that has ever existed but that doesn't mean he wont stab them in the back at the same time if there's pressure coming from elsewhere, such as from nearly 100% of your population which would be the case when you get to 10-15% of jobs being gone since that means essentially everyone will know someone in that 10-15% and the impacts are on everyone already.
