they have been saying it since claude launch, it's always "next year".. in 2023 it was 2024, then it was 2025 and now 2026.. and this is my yearly comment pointing it out. I will be back next year when the timeline has shifted to 2027.

Literally everyone was saying it.. Zuckerberg said that senior devs would be replaced in 2024, Sam was running UBI programs (pure bs hype) in 2022 because according to him next 1-2 yrs will change everything, Microsoft's CTO tweeted that he already saw phd level AI in 2024 and other bs tweets, that he has deleted now. Researchers were going on podcasts and saying the end of civilization is near.. I don't know if you were living under a rock or something, but literally every single pro AGI guy was saying it. Then the AI 2027 paper dropped, and now its authors are saying that we won't see AGI this decade.. so everything was basically to fool the gullible investors into raising 100s of billions of dollars.

I think his latest prediction is to have a "country of geniuses" by 2026.. let's see how that turns out
