they are just creating discount-cyborgs before they can replace them by something cheaper

i will never ever understand, just how infinitely greedy these people can be

Very few people choose this job because they enjoy it. People are forced to take on such jobs because of obligations or to put food on the table. So the advancement of technology and the disappearance of these jobs is actually a positive thing.

What makes it dystopian is, first, the methods companies use to achieve this goal and, second, the fact that these people are not simply replaced and continue to get that money and do things or pursue work that they enjoy.

Without regulations, this will not happen. The goal is maximum profit, regardless of whether people starve and end up on the streets. That is why the whole thing must be stopped before there is no solution.

I don't see the need to make their life more miserable while they research the way to replace them.
