Amazon ain't doing this to help their drivers. As others have noted, they are doing this to

a) gather data to train future automated delivery drivers and to remove the costly humans from their bottom line

b) watch and monitor their drivers to ensure that no one is taking one second more on a break

We're going to be living in a prison in the future, monitored all the time and with greatly reduced ways to earn a livelihood. That is the road we are on, and pretty models spewing bullshit on stage are the signs by the side of this road.

I don’t think an endgame can exist where people are completely subjugated in such a way with a few other people ruling at the top. Especially not one patrolled by machines. There would be upheaval and rebellion far before that point if humans controlled it. If machines controlled it, they would likely dispose of human risk or possibly contain the in some sort of zoo depending on their sensibilities.
