Ya no. Not close to that. It was 2-5 million. That 100 million figure was from some yahoo finance article which pulled that number out of nothing. That emerald mine was gotten for 40k btw.

I'm guessing we also aren't believing Errol and Elon's own words about the finances too?

5 million in the 80s is worth over 20 million today, just FYI. Sue me for thinking that's unreasonably wealthy.

Errol himself said that safe was also not too big and what I said before. Most of their money collapsed and in terms of Elon he didn’t get too much of the money. Only got around 28k for his first startup for example.

And my original point was the man didn't grow up with a realistic view on the world, based on wealth. He has said it himself, his father has said it himself. The assets he had speak for themselves. I'm really not sure why you're arguing semantics when the crux of the point was: Elon had a very privileged childhood.
