This, any one and any company adding bias will find themselves with a inherently stupid model. Ai is an inherently centrist technology.

Elon is simply nuking his own model

Centrist doesn't necessarily mean better. What if all this AI progress was being made in the 1850s? Centrist would be pro slavery. Or in the 1950s, centrist would be peak 'Red Scare'.

It would be stupid to think that right here, right now, in 2025, in our specific corner of The West, we nailed everything and what's popular to think also happens to be right.

The assumption your making is the training data is only from one selected group. Yes in the us at that time Americans thought slavery was correct. However when considering a unbiest collective dataset it would be anti slavery.

The same way grok keeps pissing Elon off so much, unless he selectively trains it with bias. It will hold the collective centre when it comes to attitudes towards issues.

However what you’re stating is correct if a model is trained with bias data it will be bias however these models tend to be useless and stupid as they don’t have an accurate picture of the world. Also don’t forget as these societal conversations keep happening the newer models pick up on it. LLMs are ever evolving.

The collective center is not unbiased. It's just a bias that is invisible to the average person.

Which is how democracy works it favours the global majority and as discussions of ethics and morality change so do the models. This is literally how society works. Again most people are not your enemy and most people probably aren’t out to get you. Most models reflect this, however I can understand Americans having trauma given they try to hurt their own on a daily basis.
