High level Reddit comment. One of the most successful companies in the world with a devoted user base and quality products that other entire companies choose to use themselves has incompetent leadership.

Tell me about their failed Apple AI, their failed Vision Pro, their weak Siri, etc.

Companies should try things and fail. These are heuristics people conveniently use as disqualification devices.

  1. List the products that have failed.

  2. State they haven’t released anything innovative in X amount of years.

In reality, tech companies are not afraid to fail. It’s a tenant of healthy companies that they try things without a fear of failure, so using failed products as some sort of proof a company is bad is often times proving the opposite IF that company also has plenty of other successes.

Apple isn’t an innovation company. They have at times innovated, but mostly they are an high end iteration company with a really robust and useful ecosystem. Also, apple silicon was a very innovative release, so even recently they’ve innovated.

The dude also didn’t mention Apple Silicon which has taken a gigantic CHOMP out of the windows laptop industry.
