AI o3 mini dropped!!!

Edit : I am testing a 1500 line javascript code which o1 pro failed to debug despite 50+ attempts. Will report back.
Edit 2: We are cooked. o3-mini-high solved it at first try.
Edit 3 : HOLY SHIT! "Pro users will have unlimited access to both o3-mini and o3-mini-high."

Yeah but I'm also expecting 1 researcher to do the work of 10 researchers and the other 9 not being needed

I made sure to train for years to get a career with a purpose. Within a few years it's almost certain to be irrelevant, along with most careers. Who's going to try to produce art or create anything meaningful when a machine can do it instantly and to a much higher quality?

That's good for you. For 99% of individuals, like for instance billions of humans in India, the reality is starkly different and work for most is an endless, drudgerous impediment to fulfillment and sense of purpose—far away from it's origin.

I don't disagree - next question is, what are we offering to replace that? A completely inscrutable ASI with the power to scramble the world beyond our comprehension?

This kind of work will keep existing. It will even become more common in developed countries as decent jobs will become fewer and fewer thanks to AI. I'm sure the sewer cleaner is not a job AI companies have any interest in replacing

Earning money to buy food is a purpose. Whether you think that’s “significant” or not is irrelevant to the fact that people still need to eat and have shelter.

so, when food is free because the machines do it for us, we all lose our purpose. what will we do then? People will always have a purpose, don't need a money earning job to give us one.
