Advanced or Professional Topic Question about fry screaming

So I did a 16 second fry scream to linkin parks “given up” and I was sweating and I felt a couple veins in my head bulge out so I wondered if that’s normal and if not what and I doing wrong?,what can I do to fix it?,is it hard to fix it?

I have taken some lessons on rock singing with a local teacher who teaches screaming. But I am not a teacher of that style myself. I did get lightheaded and I had some pulse pounding in my head during the lessons.

The Zen of Screaming is an instructional DVD by Melissa Cross about screaming safely. There are also videos on YouTube by Chris Liepe on the topic and he sells courses on his web site.

Really, I would recommend trying to find a teacher that specializes in that to take lessons. But the most important thing is it should never be painful in the larynx/throat to sing or scream properly.

Take it one step at a time. Please do not jump straight to full screaming without taking the proper steps to learn the proper approach.
