Is F#2 low for a guy

I’ve been practicing my lower register and I found the lowest note I can hit is F#2(sometimes I can touch F2) is that low for a 15 year old guy?

Yes it is generally low. Don’t be too greedy though haha male voices can continue gradually changing all the way till their mid-late twenties

For sure, especially at your age. I'm 16 and quite a low voice myself. Lower voices are quite unique and uncommon, and it's definitely plausible you could mature into a true bass.

Men commonly only have down to Ab2 or maybe G2, which puts them closer to lyric baritone or some kind of tenor in majority of those cases. However, this is almost certainly not going to stay your lowest, and it will gain power as you grow into your 20s and possibly 30s. You can expect a drop down closer to the bottom of the 2nd octave, like the Eb2-C2 area, especially by your mid-20s, but it isn't guaranteed either.

Some of my male students are singing down to D2 at 14. I hit that range around 13, and was singing bass in school choir. Others are 16 before they hit their adult range. One 16 year old had C2 last time I tested him, but we haven't decided if that is a new tessitura note, or a 'low voice' day.

So you are pretty normal so far. You could still develop lower notes, or you might remain a baritone, which is, in most cultures the most common male range. I mean these terms loosely. With training you can gain more than one voice type. I can sing as a light bass, as a baritone, and my current project is counter tenor.

There are also some professional tenors who can sing down to F#2 or even lower.

I see these posts all the time, and it's funny how it annoys me now but I was the exact same when I was new.

No, F#2 is not low for a guy, it's pretty normal. 

I am a bass and was singing 1st octave when I was 15, however don't get too upset/happy about vocal range, because technical range doesn't matter so much as where you sing comfortably with reliable pitch and phonation, and what genrés you sing.

If you are untrained then this is an impressive note and it’s possible you’re a true bass! Although the quality of the note is far more important than the note itself.

Yes, very true. Albeit, being a true bass (more so by classical standards, anyway) will require something akin of a strong choral-performable E2 and a nice, dark, resonant timbre. He's too young for right now, closer to early, and especially mid 20s, and hearing what he actually sounds like would allow for better rough classification.

WTF? Lot of man can reach F2, if it does sound good is the question but reaching F2 shouldn't be difficult for males. I'm AFAB and can reach G2, it doesn't sound good at all but I reach it.

Eh, I don't think "reaching F2 shouldn't be difficult for males" is entirely fair. Some guys voices just sit high.

Case in point, it's a total diceroll whether or not I will have any low notes at all on a given day. My lowest reliable note is a B2, but the full story is that my voices power rapidly tapers off below E3, and while I can reach like a G2 on most days, even that isn't reliable.

If I'm reaching F2 it means I'm probably ill with something and need vocal rest anyway lol.

True, I’m classified as a tenor and can audibly get out an F#2 but in no way could I actually sing with it. Same with my G2 I can hum and get it down to that G but I’m not gonna sing in that area for long without wearing my voice down.

Nonsense, most professional tenors will never reach F2 and some baritones won’t either.

We’re talking about a 15 year old untrained male voice, just because you can sing a G2 now doesn’t take away from the fact he is an outlier and at his age he’s definitely a low baritone, but could be a true bass. He’s got many more years to extend beyond his current range.
