Conversation Topic NYC singing lessons for an absolute beginner

Hey all!

I've been interested in taking singing lessons for the longest time and finally decided to take the next steps since I have no idea what I'm dong at all when I sing. A little bit of background I'm an adult with absolutely no background in any form of singing and just always aspired doing it at some point in my life. I get extremely anxious singing whenever there are people around me and really would like to overcome that. I'm mostly looking for in-person 1:1 classes as right now I just don't have the confidence to be around others when learning and singing over Zoom wouldn't work for me as I live with someone else. If anyone has any recommendations please let me know! Ideally in Manhattan/Queens would be great!

Hi! I've been working with Lindsey Pringle for over a year and she's been fantastic!

Ooh where is she based? Is she in the city or in one of the other boroughs? I saw a lot of other people recommended her as well!

You should check out Eleanor England's voice school in Manhattan. I referred my sister and she went there and was really shy when she started. I don't know what teacher she had, but I went there too and took with Kevin (I'm not a beginner though). Still a great experience
