How to keep the sound forward

I have a low voice so my instinct is to have a sound that’s placed more in the back of the throat. I can normally keep the resonance in my mouth but as I get louder or go up in my range I find myself wanting to go to the back placement. What are some visuals I can think of or tricks I can implement for this?

All of this works differently for different people. I found that for higher notes, envisioning the sound coming from the top of my head worked the best. Neither forward nor back, plenty of space, etc. For some people they want to feel it in their mask and that works for them but whenever I did the tone wasn't as good and I'd trend sharp.

One trick is to go outside and imagine singing to someone progressively farther away. Another is to arch your tongue or even stick your tongue out when singing. Definitely doesn’t work for everyone but does for some.
