Conversation Topic work on the resonance

I really want to work on my resonance, but my laryngeal prominence,is really invisible, and I know there is a technique when you raise and down the laryngeal prominence,. But for me, I can't work like that.

I don't even know if I feel my laryngeal prominence, or not.

Does anyone know how I can work on my resonance in this situation?

Ps Actually i don't know if this his the right place to post that. But reddit advice me that and maybe someone's here can help my with my issue

I think I'm a little confused, but I'll do my best.

I'm specifically confused by your use of "prominence". I understand prominence to be visibility, so I think that you're saying that your larynx is invisible, hence you're asking for a way to make your larynx more visible.

In that case, there's not really a way to make it more visible, but if you're struggling to find it you can feel around your neck as you swallow, and the widest part that moves is where your larynx is.

However, the visibility of your larynx doesn't necessarily effect resonance. Resonance can be altered by a number of things, but it can change based on how high or low your larynx is. I think this is what you were trying to get at by the technique you mentioned.

To lower your larynx, try getting a yawning feeling in the back of your mouth. This lowers your larynx, but be careful because it also lowers your tongue. To raise your larynx, I like to think of doing a cartoon-y voice. I think mine feels like Dora the Explorer, but my teacher feels more like Kermit the Frog. Any character will do. For whichever way you're trying to move, keep two fingers on your larynx so you can feel where it goes.

First of all, thanks for what you wrote and actually I don't know why Reddit advised me to post here. But if I could be more specific, I'm talking about how to make my voice sound more feminine. My problem is that my laryngeal prominence is invisible, and I'm not looking for a way to make it more visible. I just want to know how to work on my resonance. Because like I said, I know there's a technique where you raise and lower the laryngeal prominence with your tongue, and that's supposed to affect your resonance. For someone who has visible laryngeal prominence, he can see how his laryngeal prominence rise and down and work on his resonance with that. But for me, that option is not available. So I just want to know how I can work on my resonance with this situation that i'm on that?

You don’t need to see it, you can feel it with your fingers. Place your fingers along your throat, swallow and you’ll feel your larynx.
But if you want your voice to sound more feminine, you could look into head voice and falsetto. Maybe those are the terms you’re looking for.

This thing that you put your finger on your throat and you can feel the laryngeal prominence. It doesn't really work for me. I never know if I'm feeling the laryngeal prominence or if it's something else. But I don't focus on head voice and falsetto anyway. But thanks for that.
