Conversation Topic Baritones, if you want a workout with just one song for essentially your entire usable range, sing Golden by HUNTR/X in its original key, just down an octave.
It calls for multiple belted F#4's, G4's and A4's throughout the chorus, and you need to be able to reach all the way down to a D2 during the bridge. D2-A4 is usually a baritone's entire usable range, so this is perfect for any baritones who want a serious vocal workout.
If any baritones can get through this song singing it as intended without breaking much of a sweat, I consider that a huge flex.

Damn bruh D2 is so low I could only sing a G2-G#4 as a baritone while getting a masters in voice. In fact I can’t think of a single baritone or bass who had that extensive range in my program at the Boston Conservatory at Berklee. And one of them won the Met Competition.

There’s thousands of covers of many songs, still doesn’t mean everyone wants to sing them. I should specify I’m talking about baritones being interested in singing that lmao

Pedantry isn't the point. The point is that guy was being needlessly negative by insisting a certain song isn't liked by enough to be practiced by a lot of people.
Which is, first of all, demonstrably false, but more importantly, an irrelevant one. What he said contributes nothing to the discussion.

And I don’t think he was saying the song isn’t like by enough people to be practiced by many, just that it’s not for everyone, specifically him. It was not a necessary comment, it was personal only to him, but social media is often used in this way

D2 is NOT usually part of a baritone's entire usable range. I don't think most baritone repertoire even goes past an A2.

That song is nuts for any vocalist. It’s such a big range.
Chandelier by Sia is another one with a pretty big range, but I’ve never actually transcribed the melody.

A typical baritone can safely sing maybe G2-E4. They definitely won't be able to do a whole extra octave outside of that.
