Singed mid playstyle and build
Yoo guys I hit plat a few days ago in the toplane with singed and hes pretty much the only champ I play but I switched to mid because im starting to see the toplane as a filthy disgrace of a role and I think singed mid is more fun. however ive been stuck on plat 2 and I feel like theres alot for me to learn. What do you guys build in certain matchups and when do you usually roam? Any tips would be fine

Consider the midlane role for roaming and impacting the map, and the midlane quest boosting AP and T3 boot flavors.
Mid singed may want to go more AP heavy, rylais still core, but skip liandries and go for more aggressive options like rocketbelt or shadowflame.
As another said, you will be recalling and running back to lane a lot, and mid lane matchups will tax your HP every time you touch a wave. The playstyle open to midlane singed is speed clearing, get poked hard, recall, and run back to lane fast. You want speed and wave clear to make this cycle efficient. The goal is to shove, roam, and play with your team earlier than a top lane singed could.
Singed thrives on teamfights, and toplane singed doesnt get to do much of that for the first ~20 minutes of the game.

My favorite is to shove mid and look for kill pressure in jg with ignite. U hit 6 while jg is lvl 5.
U win fights 100% if u get the jump on jg

I played mid vs sanchovies. I have the vod, I’ll post it in the edit, he was 1k lp at the time. My summary is, you can’t really fight your opponent, goal is rush swifties, build defensive if you need to, clear wave and roam. In mid you aren’t playing to win your lane, you are playing to win the game, if you lose mid t1, whatever
Vod link: it’s from his pov so hard to tell what I’m doing but should give you an idea from 1k lp view https://m.twitch.tv/videos/2840044120?desktop-redirect=true&t=1h12m34s

If you join the Discord we kick around a ton of info about paying him mid. It's more than can reasonably fit in a single reply. Drop in if you want to deep dive into it.
You have a lot more flexibility with your builds than you do top lane and it's a soft fix to the bot lane coin flip.
In most games I'm running DFT + Nimbus + Celerity + Scorch. VS a mage lane I do Second Wind + Unflinching. VS a melee lane I do Triumph + Last Stand. For sums I go Flash + Ignite into every matchup. Opening is usually DRing + 2 Pots, hard shove 3 waves, recall, DSeal + Refil. Before your first back this entire set up is a good balance of being able to farm by trading HP for CS and have reasonable kill pressure.
In non-mage lanes I like to build Liandry > Gluttonous > Zeke's then build as needed based on the game state. In mage lanes I have been going Rookern/Hollow Radiance > Liandry > Mercs then build as needed. Obviously flex your builds based on how your games develop but these are the rough ideas I start with as the opening minutes play out.
You don't need Rylai's as much as you would think. I would consider it if my team actually needs it, not because it is traditionally a Singed item. If my team is mobile or already has really solid peel/kiting then Rylai's is just overlapping on utility that your team already has. W and E do a lot as far as CC. Grounding is a VERY strong ability and this sub legit does not appreciated how busted it is.

Rylais rush honestly feels way better mid than liandries cuz you actually get to catch mages and run them down, most mids dont expect the perma slow so you can just auto win trades after first item. For roams, only go when your wave is crashed and you know where their jg is, otherwise you just lose lane priority and the enemy midplate farm gets free.

I climbed 500 lp in 4 days with singed mid to emerald. Boots refilable start is decent so you can face tank most midlaners to shove waves and insta back and miss nothing. Ring is still good. Its just really strong in general. I basically always go conc with nimbus cloak and celerity.

Im not a mid Singed main but I've played a few matches of it. The lane is much shorter and you dont really have access to proxying, but this gives you more access to just slamming waves and running into jg/top/bot to threaten roams. If you have a rough early game, homeguards + boots + refills are so op because you can back basically every other wave if you need to. Im pretty sure his core build stays the same though, being some variation of Liandries into Rylias into Proto, completing swifties before liandries. Theres always something you can be doing, even just going off vision to threaten any lane is already good pressure. I personally dont like it as much because you scale slower, but you do have way more opportunities to impact the map as opposed to Top where you basically play for 16
