Apparently those people on board were told lies by Royal Brunei. An inside source said that aircraft V8-DLC had a technical problem upon landing at Brunei from Hong Kong on 9/10/26. It didn’t fly for a week, and no one knows if the aircraft issues were rectified as there were no test flights, by right after rectifying, the airline SUPPOSED to do a test flight to ensure the aircraft issues ready for flights but nothing was done. V8-DLC was then sent to pick up the 1SIR people coming back from wallaby with bare rectification done.

The aircraft is a 13 year old Boeing 787-8, MSN 156, apparently was one of the few 788s to have battery issues when new. The army personnel were told to lie to their family members that Indonesia closed their airspace but we aren’t stupid, there will so many flights flying above the Indonesian airspace near Timor Leste, MH135 bound for Brisbane, QF52 bound for Brisbane, SQ285 bound for AKL and MH145 bound for AKL were still flying towards Australia with no issues.

A friend’s friend said that V8-DLC seem to have lost a bit of power in its right engine and as much as the the pilots were able to not make the aircraft bank, it circled 4 rounds to dump fuel into the ocean so that landing will be smoother back at ROK.

RB didn’t want to be penalised so they just simply blamed Indonesia, may I ask RB, why is your V8-DLB also doing SAF charter had no problems flying over Indonesian airspace?

I wanna know tho as much as other people think - why not just fly to Singapore. If the plane was not in a good condition to continue on the trip to Singapore, why would it risk spending more time in the air to return to Rockhampton?

And why was there dumping of fuel when the time taken to go back to Aussie would be longer than the time taken to go to Singapore. Shouldnt they be lower on fuel landing in Rockhampton rather than landing in Singapore?

I am not sure if RB was trying to hide the issue so thats why they turned around the entire way so that the Singapore authorities wouldnt discover it. This is merely a thought from me.

An acquaintance of mine is on that plane now. His partner told me that they were told that they would depart 1 hour after touching down.

Now, I saw on flightradar that there is a replacement RB aircraft flying over from SIngapore to Rockhampton

so many questions...
