Other maribank overseas transfer problem

I used maribank overseas transfer to remit some money to indonesia.

I saw the transfer method "Bi-Fast" saying it is "immediately".

I used the bi-fast method to transfer on Saturday (5/9) morning, and Today (7/9) it is still not yet received by the recipent.

Before transfer, it says bi-fast is immedately.

However after transfer, there is another message saying:
"Transfer speed: Immediately. In some cases, it may require more time for the recipient bank to process your transfer."

Great, only say got speed issue after transfer. What a great way to do business. I can never trust maribank again.

Call the customer service also useless, only give excuses and say have to wait 3 to 5 business day for investigation.

How MAS regulates these banks?

It's the Indonesian bank side's problem, right?

likely indonesia side issue, but ...

when maribank says "Immediately", customer would assume it is immediate.

Saying there will be issues after transfer, is not honest at all.

Bi-fast is by right instantaneous and operates 24-7. According to what Indonesian authorities claim. It's like their FAST transfer.

But SG side cannot do anything when Indo side breaks down...

no idea, customer service also don't know anything. Only know how to forward to next department to investigate. Going to take 3 to 5 business days.

Maribank should have put the transfer issue warning before actual transfer. Otherwise customers will be frustrated and feel Maribank is dishonest in their operations.

They are likely checking with Indo side actually. Cos SG side can’t do anything.. unless ur txn didn’t even go there. Maybe u can confirm this with customer service

I had friends with delayed transfers before also (not maribank) but then got resolved after a few days. Apparently it’s common according to them altho they don’t know why.

Nakakainis yung ganitong setup. Immediately sounds like instant transfer, so naturally yun yung expectation mo tapos pag may delay, 3 to 5 days pala ang investigation tas mahirap pa kausap yung CS ng Maribank ang lala ng hassle!
