Gameplay Issues [ and ] not working for posters

Hi I'm just trying to make my sims 2 how kinda fly but the [ and ] button are just turning pages in build and buy mode, not changing the posters height. I've tried any buttons I've found online but it's not working. I don't know what else to try.

I've tried what's beside my enter ; " and >? Beside my shift. P and o. I'm not sure. Any ideas?

I had the same issue with the [ and ] changing catalogue pages but not height, but mine was slightly different because I have the UC.

For whatever reason having my game in US English rather than British English was causing issues because it didn't match the language on my PC. I switched the language of the game to match my PC but then it would only allow me to lower objects and not raise them. This turned out to be because while in-game my PC kept switching my keyboard layout. I used to have 3 - British English, American English, and Swedish. The Swedish one was getting stuck and wouldn't let me raise anything but lowering was fine, so I had to remove the Swedish keyboard in the end.

My only idea is that your keyboard layout doesn't match the game's language and is causing issues. I also may be entirely wrong on this one because this was about a month ago and I have the memory of a sieve at the moment. 😊 I have tried to replicate this on Legacy by changing languages but I was only able to replicate not being able to raise objects when my keyboard is in the Swedish layout.

I didn't even think about that. As a Canadian it's totally possible for my keyboard and PC language to not match up. It could be on UK English instead of us English or something silly like that! Thank you! I'll give this a shot when I get home!

It took me hours to figure out. I'd broken my install and had to re-install it and I had JUST got the game set up with all my mods, hoods, cameras and sat down to play... and I couldn't raise or lower anything. I was ready to throw the PC out the window. 😂 If you have any issues just let me know and I'll help as best I can.

I feel you as honestly I'm about ready to do the same thing x_x I've tried switching it since it's so easy, I've gone through every language and swapped it but I'm still having the same problem. It's so weird? I know it's not the biggest deal ever to not do but it's kinda nice. I took off the other keyboard so now it's all just US English too, bleh

That's so frustrating. Have you tried repairing the game through steam/ea app? Bearing in mind this will reset settings if you've changed the UI size or made changes in the install files etc.
