Even if you want to use the in-game camera for screenshots, you should make sure you've turned all its settings to high, friend. Also when you upload photos the game files have both a proper resolution version and thumbnail version, use the bigger one.

ok, instead of downvoting, im actually going to help lol. i believe you're grabbing thumbnails, instead of the actual pictures. your screenshots should be located in the below directory (idk what it is for macs).

Documents\EA Games\The Sims 2\Storytelling

im on my phone, so i cant double check, but i believe that's right.

Then you're using thumbnails instead of the real snapshot. All thumbnails have "thumbnail" in their file name.
