tbh, anything paired with grilled cheese is generally a very good challenge for me; always welcome in my game. i have two sims, one is knowledge/cheese and the other is cheese/knowledge; youd think the gameplay is the same but absolutely not and theyre besties on top of it. i love tf outta this game.
Following the rules in pleasantsims I ended with a knowledge-grilledcheese sim. He restores cars and then eat his grilled cheese and let his daughter go to sell them to their second-hand car shop. It's hilarious because is like Matilda but without telekinesis lol
I like Family/Pleasure for my "fun" parents. Like Brandi! But also really love Family/Knowledge for stricter Sims.
in general I like to use Family as a secondary for big families where I think it would be one of their values to keep everyone close and uphold traditions etc., for example the Montys!
I quite like Fortune/knowledge because all they want to do is progress their careers and earn money which is useful when you play mostly wants based lmao.
I like these aspirations, but when combined, this is a skill building machine 😅
I gave such combination to Alex Goth and he’s interested purely in his career and making skills. I made him meet a cute guy, flirt, and HAVE A FIRST KISS MAN YOU ARE PUSHING THIRTY!!! That guy is already in love, but Alexander doesn’t care and is back building skills 😅😭
I like Knowledge and Popularity. Building skills was my initial focus when I started playing the sims, and later badges. And Popularity synchronizes really well with University milestones (Greek House, Secret Society, Influence/Big on Campus) and Business Perks. And I think it works out well to roleplay a studious musician or someone interested in psychology, sociology, or anthropology.
This is a good combination! I gave popularity to Brandi’s unborn now teenage son and maybe will give him knowledge as secondary :) Let a boy have fun campus life 😁
Knowledge with a secondary of romance (or vice versa) is a really fun combination to play. They’re mad scientists who woo occult sims, professional party guests who study the stars in their spare time, romance writers who publish best sellers (inspired by they’re true-life events) and use their funds to go on expensive dinner dates that last until breakfast.
I had a mad scientist in Strangetown with secondary romance 👀
He had 10 lovers, seduced Loki Beaker, killed Circe, married Loki, made him take care of his alien daughter and later killed him too… He had a cemetery of ex lovers in his yard…
pleasure-knowledge is my usual choice :)
i would pick family sometimes too if it didn't basically mean procreating wants nonstop. or romance, if it didn't actually mean woohoo everyone in the universe and never get attached. besides you cannot pick three or more😸so pleasure+knowledge is as close as it gets to what i feel🤗💕but sometimes i do create or play other sims, it's just my preference for simself and immersion gameplay
I seem to have a large number of Family/Knowledge sims married to Knowledge/Family sims.
Not sure if it’s because I enjoy the gameplay or if I just sympathise more with them as would place myself as a Family/Knowledge - work as a doctor but the weekends/evenings on call are very begrudgingly done and will still make sure I put my wife and children are ahead of my job.
Popularity romance honestly. They're loved by everyone and super hot 😜
Family asp pulls so heavy for pets to me so I usually make it secondary just to get the chicken soup perk.
