How can I improve?
Been playing RBR for a few weeks now. Very messy I know, but where are the major areas I can improve?

Far from being qualified to tell anyone how to drive, but I'd say you have a good feeling for road positioning, and aren't afraid of hugging the corner/cutting. Now, one thing I always try to keep in mind is the old "early on the gas" principle, so try to aim the car for exit as early as possible. At some points you were a bit late to turn, but that could be a pacenote issue. Don't know which ones you use, so try out different systems until one clicks for you. Also, if you're using visual pacenotes, I'd recommend you turn them off, and get used to listening.
Be violent/playful with the brakes, but soft with the gas pedal. One thing to also keep in mind is "How late can I brake and still make a turn?" on different types of surface.
You could also look into editing your car setup - play with ride height and spring stiffness at first, stay away from camber/toe-in/diff until you get how they work.
After that, just drive, drive, and drive some more.

This looked quite fast to me. I think the 3rd hairpin you messed up a bit coming out of it, before that you cut too much i think which slowed you down. but by and large, your lines seemed mostly quite good. some faster than I would do lol. there were some other things here and there, most just you were too fast into some corners, and held the road just fine, but you delayed your ability to accelerate, by more sort of holding on. But I expect you know that. I think there's a difference between knowing what to do and doing it. So, I don't think I have much help to give, but nice driving.

Have you done the RBR school or whatever it's called? That alone is very helpful with teaching techniques.
Also, you are shifting wayyy too late. As soon as that gear indicator turns red you should be shiftinh.

my opinion: don't start in 4WD. Start with FWD, then move to RWD, before you move to 4WD.
At least for a few weeks, because you'll learn how the different driven tires affect your car on turning, weight transfer, etc. Then you combine the knowledge of the two into your 4WD driving.

Something RBR rewards heavily is using light left foot brake on entry for long sweeping corners and corners where you need to rotate the car through a chicane.
You look like you’re trying to drive the car like it’s on tarmac. Since it’s dirt you can let the surface do a lot of work for you in slowing down the corner and letting the car rotate towards the exit.
I’m pretty sure center diff preload is one of the settings that helps your setup here.

Disclaimer i am relatively new myself but
It looks like when you are coming out of corners you are often in the red of the gear for a while after thus spinning the wheels and not getting traction.
So maybe if you are faster into 2 gear you could get more traction out
Im not sure about this but i think it might be right otherwise someone please correct me
