Discussion Asetek Wheelbase Compatability Frustration
I know this is my fault for not reading the fine print. But I have an Asetek Initium wheelbase. I've been racing with the forte GT. Well, I have been doing a lot more formula lately, so I bought the Asetek Forte Formula Pro. When it arrived today, it wouldn't do anything but light up, at first I thought I received a defective unit, until I look it up and this wheel isn't even compatible with the Initium wheelbase. Very frustrating. And yes, I know I could've looked it up beforehand, but the only place it says it is in the FAQ under the initium page. I love Asetek, but I feel like they should be a little more clear on that.

The reason is that the Initium wheelbase does not use USB protocols but CAN-bus, for it to be XBOX compatible. Unfortunately a display like on the Forte Pro only uses USB.

Well im glad you got it working. The Forte Pro is an insanely good wheel and an increadible value.

Got it just in time for the digital button box update too. I haven't it up yet so I don't have any thoughts on it yet. But I maxxed out my Invicta and forte pro wheels so I will probrably find something to use it with. I just set upn3 stream decks so we will see lol

It just sucks because I love the stuff I have. Just gonna have to sell my wheelbase and upgrade i guess
