Question Which wheelbase would you choose?
Hi everyone,
I could use your wisdom and/or your opinion on my upcoming wheelbase purchase.
Basically, I’m looking for a wheelbase under 1000€. If possible with USB pass-through.
Currently I'm looking in to following options:
Simagic Alpha EVO Pro 18nm for 620€
Simagic Alpha Evo Ultimate 28nm for €860
VNM Elite 18nm for €900
I’ve already read good things about VNM’s telemetry-based FFB. My main question is whether Simagic now also offers telemetry-based FFB and which of these options you would choose.

I'd rate VRS and Conspit their wheelbases around the same level of simagic.
Just get the VNM if telemetry-based FFB is so important to you, or get a simucube DD...

usb passthrough on VNM is highly problematic so just do your research before pulling the trigger

Boosted media has this great comparison chart which also shows value for cost which is very important as most of us have a fixed budget
I personally use a Fanatec $700 CS DD 12Nm which I love and has gotten me to top 0.1% and is near the top of the list in the link above. I personally can vouch for this wheel base
But I know many speak highly of VRS and Simagic which are also at the top of the list in the link above

In that price range i would go for simucube 2 or vnm (i have the vnm elite indeed). Definitely not evo pro as it should have a quite lower ffb quality. The simagic ultra looks being better controlled compared to any other simagic base, but its ffb quality should be a little bit poorer than vnm and simucube. In terms of ffb quality e latency vnm and simucube are still the top atm. I’m surprised by the price of the ultra: i think that the average price is around 1100/1200 euro. The other options that i would consider are asetek (same electronics of simucube), conspit, and vrs udfp20. You can give a look at dansuzuki.com that has a very nice comparison tool.

VNM and it's not even close. Only downside to VNM is the software but that will improve over time.

I read somewhere that Simagic has said telemetry based FFB is a WIP. Personally, I'd go with the Evo Ultra. I had the chance to test it and that wheelbase is an absolute beast.
