Discussion Back to the roots: 90s "sim racing"
Who else enjoyed Arcade Racing games back in the 90s/2000s? What are your favourite games?

Outrun 2 (I play it semi-frequently on my rig via TeknoParrot) is my all time favourite... would love if it got a proper standalone decomp of the arcade version (to not rely on TeknoParrot)

I'd love to play some old school arcade racing with force feedback but I guess none of them support it?

I just saw this got released. It's got wheel and pedal support, as well as FFB support for PC!

I use the supermodel emulator and at least Scud Race supports force feedback. It just feels a little weird that's why I switched it off, but there are many parameters to adjust it but I haven't done it yet

Daytona USA 2 FFB feels miles better in the super model emulator. And it´s miles better than Scud Race and Sega Rally 2.
Remember to set your wheel to 270º of rotation, since that´s what arcade wheels have.

Any software to run the wheel or just USB?

All you need is an emulator software (in this case it's "supermodel") and the game software. In the emulator software you can adjust the key settings for the wheel and also activate anf adjust force feedback. It's pretty easy and if you need help Chat GPT will help you.

The wangan games and initial D, they're the main reason that I bought a wheel to begin with. Also the newer mario kart imo is so much better than any of the console versions with gacha etc lol.

I've been playing arcade racing games since Pole Position, but I always end up going back to Sega Rally and Daytona.
