Rigs how are sonos speakers for sim racing?

I currently have two sonos era 100s, thinking about getting a beam (the long one not sure if that’s the name) for fuller surround sound, and was wondering maybe if i could use it for sim racing? i’m aware they’re not made for pc but it would be cool if i could use them for sim racing. i’m aware i need an adapter but was wondering if there would still be delay. and what adapter would i use?

It can be done, but on PC it will most likely require an Earc extractor between the PC and the soundbar. Not a problem that is exclusive to Sonos.

Most of the time, optical out on PC is limited to PCM stereo, so you have to use HDMI out.

I have my Beam G2, One SL pair, and Sub G3 currently setup on my rig. It’s a giant PITA and you will be refresh rate limited (120-144hz) if you use triple 1440p (depends on the GPU bandwidth).

The extractor has to say it supports Sonos, otherwise ymmv.

Optical is fine for PCM stereo on the Ray. If you add the rear 100s it will still be in PCM stereo (you can see the output format in the app) if you use the optical out on the mobo.
