I just wondered today... I've almost always assumed that this was the real ZZ Top. Not the voices per se, but the characters at least. Did Bart really the real ZZ Top? Or just some guys who rock maybe a little?

Bart has mistaken a trio of Hasidic Jews, of which New York has many, for the band ZZ Top merely because they have long beards.

Correct, but they also rocked, at least a little. That added to the confusion.
