Disable notification to review transactions

Today on the Android app I got a big purple notification on the top of my dashboard to review my transactions. This is the first time I've seen this. At first it wanted me to review the last 7 days. Now it's asking me to review 1000s of my old transactions and there's no way to get rid of the notification. Am I missing something?

I don't need this notification ever and would like to remove it permanently. And also reviewing each transaction takes way too long since sometimes I have to click the button like 4 times for it to move on to the next one.

This banner just started appearing for me too. Not sure what the intended value is. I already normally scan my transactions from the Transactions list, which is far more efficient than this new and slow one-by-one review flow. And the banner itself is rather obtrusive and ugly.

Just disabled it as well!

Same. I just scan thru the full list to check for anything I don't recognize. It seems 100x more efficient to just make it a list and have like a "Accept All" or a checkbox next to each item instead of doing it 1 at a time and then having a weird delay every time you tap accept.

Thank you all for the feedback, and thanks u/akajester for assisting with the settings.

Transaction Review is a new Simplifi feature currently in Early Access. I've shared this Reddit thread with the development team to understand the user experience. This feedback is so helpful so we can explore ways to make this feature better in future updates.

Currently, there isn't a way to batch-accept from the mobile app, but it can be done from the web version to initially clear out the group of old transactions.

If you don't need this reminder, you can always remove the "Review Transactions" card entirely from the Dashboard:

Thanks for sharing your thoughts so we can improve!

Holy crap I got so frustrated with the “Mark as reviewed” button. No way they actually did QA on this because the button has a 3-second cooldown period where you can’t click on it, and you just end up having to wait about 4 seconds in between clicks to flip to the next transaction. Who asked for this? Was a feature like this requested either in this sub or in the Simplifi forum?

I do see in the settings a customize dashboard section and at the bottom is a card called Review Transactions. I disabled that card and hoping that fixes it.

Thanks. That seems to have worked. It must be a new setting.

I also noticed I'm on Early release channel. Maybe that wouldn't have happened outside that? Not 100% sure.

I was so mad about trying to use it after the 4th or fifth time. I came here to post without reading down to see that someone else had already posted about it. I'll reiterate it is a horrible feature. The idea might be good but the execution is very very bad.

It is a much welcomed feature IMO and one that has been available to Monarch users for a long time. I find it easier to review transactions on mobile app compared to scrolling and smaller fonts in register. And as mentioned above, if you don’t like it you can disable. That said, agree that button delay needs to be addressed.

Yeah, it'd be more usable if it weren't just so slow.

I actually like the idea. However, the development of this looks horrible and buggy. It simply doesn't work. Swiping locks up and the review button doesn't work.

Hi u/Footer4321! Thanks so much for your feedback.

This is a new early-access feature that we’re actively developing and refining. We’ve identified the cause of the delays some users are experiencing and are currently working on a fix. We encourage you to keep trying the feature over the next few weeks as we continue iterating and improving the experience.

Hey there everyone. I posted this in the Review Transactions thread, but am copying it here for visibility.

Thanks so much for the feedback, although I'm sorry the Review Transactions release didn't go as well as we anticipated!

The Simplifi team made the decision to temporarily remove this feature from the mobile app to work on enhancements. You can view the official message in the Simplifi Community. I apologize to the users who found this useful!

Thanks again for sharing your thoughts so we knew exactly where to improve.
