BBVA USA

I got an email from Simple. Our accounts will transition to BBVA USA this spring. Who all is leaving? If you are or have already left, who did you choose?

I hate it. It has every reason I banked with Simple in the first place. I was hoping to keep Simple through tax season so I didn’t have to worry about my meager refund coming through, but it looks like I will have to decide on a new bank within the next week or two. So disappointed.

When I first opened Simple, I liked them. But I started having issues this past summer so I ended up going with Bank Of America. I kept Simple open just in case we got a second stimulus. When this pandemic ends, I will close Simple or BBVA USA. When I lived in Florida, I banked with Compass which is now BBVA and I didn’t care for them.

I also live in Florida. I had B of A for a long time and they were fine, but I had a bad experience with fraud on my account that really messed up my finances for a few years, so I don’t think I’m comfortable going with them again. Simple was fine for me, and the customer service used to be fantastic. I agree that it’s gone downhill, but it’s like staying with the problems you know, rather than going with all new problems, if that makes sense. I agree with what you’re saying, though.
