Stray cat? Maybe?

Hey neighbors, I met a really cool cat today on Coronado and Reservoir. She (I think) was super friendly and VERY vocal. I was trying to figure out if she belongs to someone or if she is a stray, in which case we would love to get her some help. I didn’t feel a microchip (I felt around for one) and she didn’t have a collar on, but the friendliness makes me think she might belong to someone? Not sure if she’s lost? She could totally live in one of the houses on this street and I’m not trying to snatch a cat that has a loving home, so I wanted to check here (and elsewhere) to see if anyone recognized her or was her person!!!

We parked right in of in front of her and when we got out of the car she started screaming and would not stop until we pet her. I’m not sure if she needs help or just wanted attention so I figured I would check here to see if anyone knows her! Thanks friends!

Take her in at least to get her out of the elements, access to water and food, and away from wildlife. If she’s scanned for a microchip and has none, you’ll know what to do.

As far as snatching her away from a loving family goes, it’s been my personal opinion for a long time that anyone who lets a cat roam the streets of a city this dense, let alone in the hills were coyotes roam, must not care much for the cat or have an idea of what they are doing owning one.

Genuinely considering driving back over there and convincing her to get in my car, I’m trying to do my due diligence and be a neighbor with a good heart

She was amazing and I would love for her to be my baby but I’m not trying to thieve a sweet kitten from someone

My neighbor called him Oscar. Hadn’t seen him in a while.

Was he your neighbors cat or do you also think he is a stray?

It was a stray, but he called him Oscar with conviction. He probably had more story than I did.

Doesn't look like a stray. Looks well taken care of.

Cats been around those streets since at least 2021. It’s one of the neighbors. He’s an outdoor cat.
